ah but there are still some of us that do dressing-up-in-armour-and -hitting-each-other-very-hard-with-big-lumps-of-steel the old way! steel armour, steel weapons and full contact.well, leastwise in england we do.
cant be bothered with silly kinect, get kids off fat behinds, give 'em a sword and make 'em fight! doesnt hurt my young nephews any.
dont want microsofts silly advertising as they are a dogs bum with a hat on. cheers

We do it here ( Newfoundland ) as well. The club at the university was closed for lack of funding not long ago, but me,my brother and a couple friends still carry on the fun on our own terms

In Texas, my Club President has always wanted to have a fight with nerf weapons. Some of us still like the feeling of stabbing something with real weapons now, or shooting a real gun. Sadly, we're more than likely in the minority at this point

Oh no, no nerf with us. We make home made armor and pit it against real weapons, if your not wearing any protection you will most definitely get hurt :starwars:

Like those shin kicking competitions I saw on ESPN. They just make those Brits tougher I guess  Seriously though, those guys wear armor on their shins. They're tougher than I am, that's for sure. And we can't use real weapons as a club cuz our Student Life President doesn't want people getting hurt  In Britain, you don't have bureaucrats giving you about a 1000 rules then not explaining how you're breaking them

It's amazing. Now the 360 Kinect can respond to a death growl and assume it was Fus Ro Do. Amazing... Unless you use Morgoth on it, because Morgoth is easy to understand.

Why do you think in America chicks love seeing guys injuries? Cuz they love it when a guy is willing to do things that would hurt him. Chicks not only dig scars, they also love seeing you unwrap bandages around injuries, too.

From what I gather, it makes Companions easier to use,
Too bad the Kinnect won't fix their questline.

I hate all motion action and movement controls. Honestly I'll go outside and play if I want to get all sweaty.

Right now I have a cough (allergies). Does that mean I'll be dragon shouting all over my game?

you don't have it, therefore your opinion is invalid. Kinect FTW

My opinion is valid and kinect is trash and always will be.

PC version had mods that let us use Shouts with our own voice, before it came to the Kinect.

I know right? I hate more options. That feature should never have been made but I think you are not thinking big enough. We should also complain that we have the option to play multiple playstyles and have the option to buy it on multiple consoles. Next time just a pc version that can only be played as a warrior with no mods or I will not buy it.

If you are using the mic part of it to do the Dragon shouts. Why didn't they also make it where people without the Kinect can do the shouts by using their headset?

I get what you're saying. There is a lot of people who just want a game to be scripted, a la COD. That's not open world and thats not how Bethesda does their games.

I hate kinect.. There is something called Business where you try to make a product which your consumer likes or "Needs"... Kinect is a horrible horrible idea and they think puting popular games will make people buy it yet just the idea of jumping infront of a camera or screaming at your T.V. isn't something people want or need right now.. And yes i agree, kinect will change my experience if I had it, it would make it so much worse... Kinect itself is a step back in terms of the gaming industry.. Same goes with the motion control system.. But nintendo had a good marketing team to be able to make it appear good...

This kinect mumbojumbo is a sure fire way to make people look like dorks while they play. I guess if I could lock myself in a sound proof room, id try it.

Isn't there a "who else agrees or disagree" option?

You are not forced to use it and MS thinks it would be better with Kinect and to alot of people it really is, I find it ok, it does offer a tiny new way to play the game but its not OMG worthy imho so I disagree

This kinect mumbojumbo is a sure fire way to make people look like dorks while they play. I guess if I could lock myself in a sound proof room, id try it.
Or get this?

You can not care what people think of you :o Besides we are already dorks since we play games and if you only play Skyrim you might have put in many hours into it so to none gamers you are already a "dork"

Who cares what people call you, when people call me names like "dork, nerd, geek, ect" I turn to them, smile and say thankz than turn and walk away. :)

It is funny how people used to think motion and voice controls were the future of gaming but when they got here everyone hated it. I wonder if it will be the same when we have holograms or a virtual reality helmet.

The difference between the Wii/Move and Kinect is very simple. The Wii and Move are motion controllers. I thought the first mistake they made with Kinect is not including a traditional motion controller. While Move has had problems, you can't argue with how they marketed the product by packaging it with shooters and putting that Sony CEO in the commercials. Cant remember his name but he was hilarious
Edit: His name was Kevin Butler. That guy was the most hilarious guy on TV. Even PSN being down for a month didn't slow him down.

Doesn't the Kinect thing totally screw up your ability to use powers?

Yelling at your TV at 3AM (don't lie you stay up all night playing Skyrim too) and waking people up does not enhance your gameplay.

I know it didn't have a motion controller but with a motion controller it would still be bad.. I also find Microsoft's marketing a turn off and I find PS3 lacking marketing..

Yea MS's marketing department didn't have someone like Butler to market their products. And Butler lost much of his credibility at E3 2011 when he wouldn't answer questions about the PSN outrage. The vita is a good example of good ideas for a company standpoint, but bad marketing.
Edit: As I've mentioned previously, MS's biggest problem is they always put non gamers in their kinect commercials. They put people who have no credibility because they've never played the game in question, if its had previous entries.

The reason I don't like their marketing is you go on the console and you have 100+ ad's about and 20 walkthroughs about Call of Duty and you see kinect everywhere... Then it comes time for E3 and they blow it.. Nintendo has those years where they can do it and they have those years that they cant..

They put idiotic people on stage like kids, then waste gamers time with begging on hand and knee for people to buy a Kinect. Even when they do feature game trailer for real games like Halo 4 or COD, the camera constantly cuts to the person on stage controlling the game. I actually think that the Dance Central Games have been marketed better than most Kinect titles, but that's not saying much.

:bunny: Your right about that Dance Central :bunny: <--- Never played before but saw

COD does have good marketing I must say.. If it didn't nobody would play it, funny how nobody realized that nothing changed much from the previous game.. In other words its a scam..
