DLC for PC and PS3

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 3:27 pm

All platforms in the end had all the DLC for fallout3..why would new vegas be any different? I do not agree with how xbox only gets it first but there's nothing anyone can do even if you [censored] and moan. So let it go.

Yes, I do think everybody should have got it but the truth is pc/ps3 players your not missing out on much... Dead money wasn't all that great. It had huge amount of bugs and annoying exploding collars.

As a former xbox live player I am a bit annoyed that it hasn't come out for pc! Usually it is the other way round with the exclusivity... PC rules! :toughninja:

Well, I'm not buying the game a second time on 360. I'm not buying the DLC when it comes out for PC, on principle. And I won't buy any future DLC if it isn't immediately on the PC. For this game, skyrim, or any other game which may potentially have DLC. If I have to wait months to play something other people have had the entire time, I'm just going to pass and pay for something else. I feel sorry for PS3 players, mostly. Seems like they're always the last to get everything.

Can someone look up the deal they made to see how long this XBox Live Exclusive deal is supposed to run? Heres hoping it's only 30-days.

If the Dead Money DCL ever comes to the other platforms, perhaps the Microsoft exclusivity could be seen as a beta trial to get the bugs out. Of course, Microsoft would probably demand the exclusive right to the patches as well. Do we know if any who have played this game have written positive reviews on about it via their Xbox consoles and Mircrosoft Word programs?

Wonder if the availablity of future DLC add-ons is a selling point for future Fallout games?

Silly to have a poll over this. Yes, people want it, and yes, it's very likely that it'll come, after the Xbox users are done beta testing. :P

Here, here, my good man! Bravo and bravo!

I really hope they realize how many fans they have out there and they should take care of them....i understand wanting to put the DLC out at different times, but not many other companies do that. I think that its only fair that they should release it soon for PS3 and soon after in the future for more DLC. I myself own both, PS3 and xbox360, but i have always played fallout on playstation...even to the disappointment of the DLC delay to PS3 for Fallout 3. Which is another reason why they should just release it already for PS3, many people have kept playing fallout, even after certain disappointments... the more mistakes you guys make, the more fans your gonna lose, which is less money for you all. So just be nice to those of us loyal to you and remember who really pays your bills...and just keep us happy, its not that hard.....please, just release it soon - thank you!

Oh mah gawd. Get your panties out of a wad and wait a couple weeks, then you can blow 5-10 bucks on an extra 20 hours of gameplay. The Xbox exclusive is only temporary, and is just to get a quick cash injection. They did this with Fallout 3 too, so calm down. Jesus people.

I have been a Fallout fan since the begining. I have bought and played them all, Fallout 1, Fallout 2, Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel, Fallout: Tactics, Fallout 3 and DLCs, and now Fallout: New Vegas. I am greatful to Bethesda for taking up the mantle of Black Isle and continuing the fallout legacy. But it seems to me that if Bethesda wants to reserve the rights to the DLC for MICROSOFT only, at least in the begining, maybe Sony should suggest to its consumers to wait till to buy Bethesda products, maybe even boycott Bethesda all together, at least till they treat Sony and MICROSOFT consumers as equals. It all comes down to money. Which would cost Bethesda more: Not selling the rights of the DLC to MICROSOFT or Not selling its games to Sony consumers? I, for one, shall not be buying anymore Bethesda products till I, as a Playstation owner, am treated as an equal of the Xbox owners. Do as you see fit, but Equality is what all people strive for, and Bethesda is furthing inequality by favoring MICROSOFT consumers over Sony consumers.

Drake, as much as I understand your thought, it wouldnt happen, if Sony did that, Beth would just have some time saved for them. They'd only dev games for PC and 360 users, leaving PS3 gamers like myself out of the game. Honestly, they'd only lose one revenue stream and could use two more to milk till their udders are dry.

Do you honestly think Bethesda would stop making their games PS3 compatible? Then MICROSOFT would stop paying for exclusives, because what would be the point? And Bethesda would be out even more profit. Bethesda is a company and they are out to turn a profit. So why not hit them where it makes an impression?

Does Microsoft really expect people to buy this game a second time just to play some 2 hour long dlc? Seriously who does that? I made my purchase (and honestly I still cant play the damn game because its so bugged) and now they want me to drop another $60 + the cost of the dlc? I simply dont understand the point of holding back content from people who are willing to flush their money down the toilet. Regardless of that, they should be working on FIXING the game so it can actually work the way its supposed to before ever working on dlc.

Hey this would be Falling in to Microsoft's trap. Now people would have to go & buy PC or X-Box to play Betheseda games & I'm sure they would. As a PC user I really think the PC version should have used GFWL, it probaly would have reached us by now. I know what MS is doing might be wrong but I'm sure they have every right to do whatever it is that they are doing.

I'm gonna do like PC users do in any thread where console users ask about a construction set. "Should've bought an Xbox 360."

Bethesda is not the only company to do this. Dead rising did and so did another game, I can't think of it right now.

It's microsofts fault, let's go burn down their headquarters (grabs pitchfork), who's with me?

Dont worry guys the DLC isnt that great anyway. You get about 3 or 4 worthwhile things for about 5 hours of decent gameplay.

of course we want it, some of us have been playing since the day it came out and honestly I was disappointed at the end that I couldn't free roam after the main story,

I just think it's stupid how we have to wait for it and they get it straight away. I bought a £20 code for the add-on and found out that it was a waste of time. If they release them at the same time everyone is happy. I just want the add-on(s). :fallout:
