Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

Now that that's out of the way, I can continue. I have played Morrowind but didn't get into it because it was way beyond my level of gaming experience. I then tried the online RPs starting with World of Warcraft, then moving to Age of Conan, Lord of the Rings, Warhammer, Rift and finally came to Skyrim.

Because of all the experience I was able to gain through those games, I am finally able to understand the concepts thrown at me in this game. What makes it most interesting to me, however, is the ability to choose what I feel like using, wearing, or choosing of my abilities. Numbers are further from this game than any of the previous games I've played before.

Also, because I'm not forced to join a side even before I choose my character, it makes the game play much more involving. As a writer, I choose to put myself into the beginning of any story as if I had lived a life before it. In my world, I am a newcomer to this entire planet, and as such I have the opportunity to be ANYTHING I feel like being. If I choose not to interact with the people in these towns, I don't have to. If I feel I would like to be a dual-wield destruction force of reckoning, I can do that on my own free will.

I'm glad to have found a game that does not include the amount of damage I'm dealing in a formulated math problem including physics and trigonometry. I don't have to include my fantasy world with the numerical gob of useless information I would rather not see. Thank you, and have a wonderful day.

i do agree with you on some of it. i can except not having the stats like strength and stuff but what i enjoyed more over was the ability in the other ones to choose what your characters strengths and weaknesses are when you start out. in Skyrim u only choose your race thats it then they do the rest for you thats what im having the biggest problem with it. that and the way having more pockets is in pick pocketing like it helps pick pocketing and heavy armor having the only hand to hand skill that throws me off completely

Ignoring your gigantic wall of text and moving to this point that you feel is so necessary to point out every five seconds, it is called a perk for a reason. Some will help you physically pick pockets better, and others will help you out in a more passive way. Hence the extra pockets. Say you're a pick pocket, getting better at your job, and you run out of room for stuff you smuggle. What are you going to do? Make some hidden or extra pockets. Wow, logic is fun!

I started with Morrowind as well, and love the hell out of Skyrim for what it is. I love Morrowind for what it is and can recognize that it is a different game than Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind, and Oblivion. Do I wish Skyrim had some more of what Morrowind was? Sure. Do I fret over it? Nah, not really. Skyrim is a great game because it is different, and I accept it with all of its flaws and perks.

Skyrim is no different from its predecessors save for you aren't officially a continuation of the Characters you played in previous installments plain and simple, they are ALL TES and share commonalities across the board.except for the fact that each installment offers less for the player in terms of self developement and tangible ingame RP avenues.

and enough with the "I'm glade I don't have to run Trigonometry" mess with regards to stats but at no point was it even near that complex, and you're Imagination doesn't improve the game in anyway except for your mental constructs.

None of my characters have been the same. I play dead is dead and that means when I die I delete my saved games, all of them. I have made several unique characters in the game so far, I lean towards orcs because I enjoy them the most but I have also made a Dark Elf that used only destruction magic and one handed swords along with sneak and lockpicking. I made a Nord barbarian who used 2h weapons, light armor, sneak and pickpocketing. I have made about 5 different orcs that used a variety of skills and equipment. I made a Khajiit that used only sneak, pickpocket and lockpicking. I made a Breton who was a death knight and he used a wide variety of skills, nearly all of them.

None of my characters have been the same, none of them used the same types of equipment or weapons.

y would i need a sticky note for? all the starting characters start out the same! ok i can see the pick pocket part but only 100 and a quill weighs .5. the weight system fails. and hand to hand was fun now they took that away for the most part. your only perk is in heavy armor, and yes that perk makes sense, but with the other attacking abilities they had there own tree. hand to hand was no place to be found.

Im sorry but every point you make here in this post is stupid

You dont choose your character "Skills" at the start because you learn it over time, giving you more chance to try out everything
There are racial bonuses in case you didn't notice

Everything you consider bad about this game is either good or its there and you dont know what your talking about, so get your ass back up to 4 chan where they might listen to you

If your argument isn't important enough for you to be bothered using paragraphs and capital letters, then it's not important enough for me to consider.

I like Skyrim because the game doesn't decide what my character is, I do. I made an Imperial spellsword with whom I've played as for 200+ hours. I just started a new game as a Redguard warrior, with only basic magical abilities. The thing about The Elder Scrolls is that it changes with each game, but the basics remain the same. It's an RPG, if you can't role play in what is considered role playing game, I suggest not playing it at all, and certainly not making an account to simply complain without any constructive purpose.

Hey now, that's just putting down 4 chan* for no good reason, they may be a bunch of deviant weirdos but most of them still know how to put together a decent sentence or two!

EDIT: 4 and chan together is censored, really?

Despite the fact that it has been known for a while now that hand to hand was not a skill, it is in the heavy armor because when you hit someone with a metal gauntlet, it's going to hurt more than with your bare fists or a leather glove. Characters do not start out all the same. Stat-wise sure, but you ultimately are in control of that by what you do with the game. I have three different characters going, all with different areas of expertise. I use my Argonian in stealthy/assassin situations so he will be better with thief skills while having more stamina. My Nord warrior has more health and stamina while kicking ass with a blade and shield. My Breton mage is great with destruction and alteration, as well as being a smooth talker, so he will be better with those skills than with a sword. Every character is different after YOU advance them in the game.
