Okay... First of all... You never got to pick your stats in any TES game. You got to pick your race... And your starting stats were based on your race ... Just like Skyrim.

Second. Yes... You got to pick your starting skills when you created your character. But in Skyrim it's really no different. You pick your skills after you create your character, which is a very small change, and just like the other TES games., they improve with use.

You actually have better control of improving your skills in Skyrim. You apply perks as you want.

If you want Oblivion or Morrowind then go play them again.

I've been playing TES since Arena... I'm rather happy that they've made each game different and unique.

Step in the wrong direction. Why the f-u-c-k make me start with the same lame s-h-i-t my previous character started out with, slowing down my build, when I could have started my build before I started the game. Yeah, thank you for making my build take hours longer than what it should have. Like what the hell do I want with the skills I won't ever use? Why not just let me choose what I want before I start? It's not like I go to a fast food place, drive up, and they just hand me a sack and tell me to go home and make my own meal after they made me something that has nothing to do with what I want. Yes, thank you for the worthless garbage you just wasted that I won't use. Congratulations, you just made the same starting build. I hope what you wanted to make was actually higher than 15. Wait, I forgot you don't care what I want to start with. Why take away the thing that gave the player control of the character from the beginning?. Instead, now I have to wait longer to start the character I would like to be. Now I have to go through with [censored] I don't want because you took away my customization ability. Wait, no I can make my character look like whatever I want...he just won't have the skills I want until sometime in the future.

Alright, now that correcting that atrocious paragraph is complete, I'll respond. Comparing fast food to a video game is an absurd and idiotic comparison. I'm not even really going to go there, except to say that fast food is not equal to a real time, free roam video game. The point of Skyrim is character development. Leveling up characters in it takes little to no time at all when you're given control. You're a moron if you think that leveling up any build takes any time in Skyrim compared to Morrowind or Oblivion.

What throne does Morrowind sit on? It was one of the most simple and easy games to complete of all time. All you had to do was start a new character and run to Vivec, steal everything in Vivec and sell it back and then train all of your skills to 100 at which point nothing in the game could lay a finger on you. Enchanting in Morrowind was even more ridiculous than it is in Skyrim since you could enchant more items. The game was just way too easy to exploit and the quests became less intriguing once you became a super god that could clown stomp anything in the game. I soloed Vivec himself at level 40, needless to say I was very disappointed in how easy the game was.

Morrowind was a great for two reasons. Number one, it had an ultra realistic enviornment that resembled more of a sci-fi theme and combined it with old school RPG elements. Number two, it was revolutionary because of the graphics detail it offered for its time. Other than these two things, Morrowind was bland and easy.

My favorite part of that rant was the part about "clown stomping". I think you just gave me my new favorite phrase for the week.

Don't try to correct anything in any of his posts when your intro paragraph of this thread resembled a cat walking on a keyboard. He made one error, you made OVER 9000!!!

Fixed :)

Could you name any other game where you could build a house out of books and which had an open world with lots of different items like armor (right, left pauldron and glove, cuirass, greaves and boots), weapons (short-sword, dagger, long-sword, throwing darts, throwing knives, bows, crossbows, spears and more) i can't and haven't played any game which is close to that so for me Morrowind sits on the throne for gaming.

Then there is people who destroys for them selfs and robb the vaults and then train their skills which makes the game easy.

Do you realize how long it takes to max out you character on Oblivion and Morrowind, I bet you it is the same in Skyrim the only thing is every character that you make is the same THAT...IS...BORING to me, I would rather anime all daylong.

Wow. I feel sorry for you.

I have 3 different characters. All three are different races, have different skills, belong to different organizations, look different act different and sound different from eachother.

Are you sure you're not playing Zelda?

Morrowind is/was obviously still a challenge for you since you did the training all your skills to 100 wrong. Especially since not all the master trainers were actually functioning properly in the un-modded version of the game

WTF are you talking about? You start choosing as soon as you enter the Helgen starting dungeon. Use magic, fists, dagger, whatever. Sneak, pick locks, charge.... whatever. You are choosing.

Instead of choosing by placing a checkmark next to "blade", you chose by swinging a blade.

Like I said earlier... go back to Oblivion if that's the game you want. This isn't it. And I for one am very happy with that. I played Oblivion for 5 years... it was time for something new and different.
