Need an emoticon of two dinosaurs fighting :D

That is wierd, I actually thought the same thing recently but more as a Mortal Kombat game versus an eyeless dinosaur and one wearing a power helmet :teehee:.

I say let the Enclave come back.

Colonel Autumn wasn't a Nazi type. He wanted to RULE THE WASTELAND with the Purifier and he was a murderer as well as a JERK but he wasn't genocidal like dike Richardson was (it was dike Richardson who "corrupted" John Henry Eden anyway). I'd really approve of seeing the Enclave revived in some fashion, possibly by the player's actions. It'd be cool if Arcade Gannon had the potential to do it in any DLC.

The "Second Enclave" could be a force for good or evil depending on the PC's actions.

Yes he was bad, there were still death camps, he made examples of people, he was a poor leader who got most of his men killed by psycho Eden. He literally sacrificed his own men onto the purifier trying to activate it and from what he says at the end he's also mad, in denial that Eden would betray him... after he shouted "Defy the President" down the intercom.

Richardson was a loyal man who gave his men orders to shoot him rather than endanger the Project, Eden ended up shooting all of his own because he was so bad that Autumn led a revolt.

Not to derail the thread...

1. Colonel Autumn wasn't involved in any death camps. The only thing the CW Enclave really did despicable was murder the LW's father, steal the Purifier, and kidnap that poor Pro-Enclave dude from Megaton.

His disagreement with JHE was over the whole, "Poison Everyone" plan. He intended to use the Purifier to basically leverage all of the tribals into accepting the Enclave's rule - which is only immoral due to the fact the Enclave had nothing to do with the Purifier. It was the BOS and James' baby.

The destruction of Raven's Rock was solely due to John Henry Eden deciding that destroying the Enclave was the only way that he could proceed given he was obviously malfunctioning. That wasn't Autumn's decision and he was already working to disable and destroy JHE by that time.

2. dike Richardson was pretty much a combination of Hitler and Nixon.

(it's not violating Godwin if the guys are explictly based on the Nazis like the Enclave - up to and including Wermacht-esque people like the Remnant)

The fact he was willing to die to make sure everyone except for the "pure-blooded" humans. Even so, he was a hypocrite because he had Frank Horrigan on his payroll and was performing experiments to create sentient Deathclaws.

ahem...

But back to the topic. To all the people who say the Enclave is dead and buried, is it REALLY harder to believe the Enclave survived than the Great Khans? A group that, at this point, I have done my best to completely annihilate THREE times?

Who the ending says STILL are alive?

Why couldn't they come from Chicago? They have a presence there.

Or to speak to them and interact with them like they're human beings, like the Remnants, find out what they're doing in a particular area in which the DLC takes place (or WERE doing, if you only find corpses).

Or do something like vault 11 theyre all dead and you go in to find out what they were doing in there and find out what happened.
I found the vault 11 to be a pretty good sub story but seeing as that kind of thing would be quite small i doubt it could be classified as a DLC.

What do you call the various checkpoints with dead wastlanders who were obviously killed by Enclave soldiers then? Or are you saying that Autumn had no knowledge of that? (which would make him a poor leader as well)

Apparently it wasn't just over the whole "Poison everyone plan." By his statements at the end of the game, he clearly had no idea that Eden was going to implement the plan "that plan was abandond months ago, he would never go behind my back!" Thus, he rebelled for some other reason, which I can only conclude to be a distrust of Eden, or him simply wanting more power for himself (either way, those are piss poor reasons to split the Enclave and cause its downfall).

The destruction of Raven's Rock was solely due to John Henry Eden deciding that destroying the Enclave was the only way that he could proceed given he was obviously malfunctioning. That wasn't Autumn's decision and he was already working to disable and destroy JHE by that time.

First off two things:

1. We don't know Eden was forced to self destruct. That opition requires fairly high speech/science checks. He could very well have been destroyed by Liberty Prime.

2. Autumns "disable plan" consisted of using the self-destruct sequence, which means he was basically threatening to blow up the Enclave capital and main safe-point in the capital wasteland because of some petty disagreement with Eden. I don't care what his issues with Eden were, destoying Raven Rock because of that reason would have been absolutely stupid.

Also a side point: Eden "malfunctioning"? He wasn't "malfunctioning", in fact, its only through his solution that the Enclave win in Fallout 3. He was ten times the Enclave leader that Autumn was.

On Topic: we don't need a Enclave DLC, what we need is a legion-based DLC. I have confidence though that the Enclave will appear again in some form in a future game (not as the main "bad guy" though).

i am a brotherhood supporter but do you think there should be a DLC in volving the enclave? theres barely anything to do for the brotherhood in fallout new vegas, on my opinion i think there should be a DLC where you could take side with the enclave to form a base or embasy in the mojave or to take side with the brotherhood and to prevent them from doing so, what do you think forum? :tops:

GO ENCLAVE. Also , F*** brotherhood when the Enclave is involved. I wish I could of done more than blow up the citadel

There can't be anything like that,it would be lore breaking. The enclave hates wastelanders and would downright attack you.
Plus, they are dead, blown up twice, raided by NCR once.

What ever happened to the Vault-tec people? I can't believe that they just died after building these vaults to be experiments. They have to be out there still building tech, and the Enclave have to know about them.

They were in the Enclave; the Enclave created the Vault Experiments and continued to control & moniter them up until the ENCLAVE's destruction in 2242.

It's been a while since I played the originals, sides, that can't be all of the people for Vault-tec. Their out there, they have to be.

Not really, the company higher-ups and such may have continued in the Enclave but everyone else will have just died when the bombs dropped. We haven't even seen any local governments still continue to exist; who knows, maybe in a private Vault.

Even if Vault-tec was working for the military, they had to have had some sort of scheme. A underground city that the built out in the middle of now where or something like that.

The Enclave only attacks indiscriminately in Fallout 3, which didn't even make sense when you read their orders at their various check-in stations. That was Bethesda's lackluster main story writing at work.

In FO2 they turn you away at Navarro, and Sergeant Dornan simply has you escorted off the base if he realizes you're a civilian.

Also, as we haven't blown up Chicago, they've still got the potential for at least one more batch of Enclave. Whether we find them alive or dead is the question.
