Enclave DLC?

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 8:51 am

Enclave Virus plan was a plan after the great war, years after. It needed the FEV from Mariposa. There is no in game proof of the Enclave's ability to travel around the world or talk to one another. They can't even talk from Navarro to DC hence ED-E!

Well I think that the more likely reason was because Navarro didn't exist and that it's loss was classified but that's just me.

I admit it is a possiblity that ED-E was sent as a last ditch attempt to contact Navarro. Still if a base like Navarro goes silent, that should set off some alarm bells to the Enclave in DC. Sending an eyebot full of all your info to a place that may not even be in your control would be a desperate move. But then why set up a relay station in Chicago?

What I mean is, the scientist Whitley said that all of his funding and resources were being diverted to the manufacture and development of Hellfire armour; disgruntled hhe sent ED-E to the Enclave in Navarro which he assumed still existed, unaware however that it was lost to the NCR sometime in the late 2240's because Eden had classified it's loss for the sake of moral and made up some [censored] reason like the rest of it.

No.

Look at how they are now in New Vegas:

They're humble old men who've given up on the old Enclave idea, many of them either realizing the Enclave was bleh or believing that from the beginning. The Enclave, as an idea, is dead. The remnants however understood their power and how they could use that to influence important battles and decided to help out at the Second Battle of Hoover Dam. And once it's done and the battle is won, they ride off into the sunset, never to be heard from again.

It seems quite obvious that Obsidian is trying to let the Enclave gracefully walk off the stage and they did a good job at it. Their participation in the Battle could be seen as their redemption, and other than that, every single loose end is tied up. The Remnants are too old to continue being a factor in the future, Arcade may decide to stick with the Followers and ED-E has his logs cleared. We don't need the Enclave (or the Brotherhood for that matter) reviving, turning this series into another static series that constantly repeats the same storyline.

I understand now. So we agree the Enclave sent ED-E thinking Navarro was still up and running.

I agree that [i]Whitley[/i,] the scientist who created ED-E and the Duraframe Eyebots, laboured under that lie as did most of the other Enclave and maybe the truth was only known by Eden and the two Autumns; classified for the purposes of moral.

Yes it does. In FO2 the virus they were using would kill everyone worldwide who wasn't given the vaccine. So, if the Enclave had world wide bases, one of their plans would involve killing off every member aside from the ones on the oil rig.

Now, It may just be me, but I think a plan like that sounds a tad stupid.

"small vault" = air tight They didn t realase that virus now did they??????? Probably have worked as good as trying to poison 100 000 000s gallons of water with a tiny vile lol.

When it opens, "Sorry you guys are just going to have to stay quarintined down there, don't open the door or you'll die horribly." It would have worked fine, they'd been crafting it for 70 years, oh and they weren't posioning the water, they were using modified FEV, modified Forced Evolutionary Virus, Viruses are known to multiply.

I agree that cl is trash, but they just can t keep pulling Enclave out. There were not that many of them in the us. Most real fo fans don t even see how they got that many to DC in fo3, because they were supposed to be dead in 2.

Enclave can t come back any time soon. If they were to ever come back they d need to make up a damn good story on why and how.

They ll make better bad guys than cl. Enclave has only been the bad guy in 2 fo s. They have not been in everygame. (Enclave remnents don t count as Enclave.)

There is a story line the games must adhere to and it is saying Enclave is dead, and Western Bos r on life support. To throw Enclave into a dlc in force would be story suicide.

Legion was worthy for me. better then reusing a faction who has been defeated 3 times

armed with macheties and protected by skirts

They have more that just machetes, and .... hey I used skirts in Scotland, and I was still and manly man

We dont need better equiped enemies or foes with technology at 100% to believe that we have a worthy opponent

So I expect Legion or another faction whatever they are. whatever they use, whatever the skirt that they use meanwhile they arent BOS or Enclave

I didn't say indefinately, I just said don't open the door. So now your an expert on Biological Weapons, why is it so hard for people to believe that it would have worked? You don't think that 100 years is enough to engineer a virus? Some virus have survived being in space on the side of shuttles and then returned to Earth and been alive.

The virus kills in hours and certianly worked on the people who lived on the ENCLAVE, I hope they auto immunise themselves fast!

In game I can t pretend or believe cl is worthy. And in reality I know they couldn t be. In game what makes me believe is how many hit points do I lose when I tangled with them, or how many followers have they killed? I m not going to believe they r worthy, becausd they are not in game.

They will have to come with something much better than that in fo4.

This is why all the new fans want Enclave, because they want someone that can hurt them. If a good hard enemy was in nv that could hurt you all the time these people wouldn t even remember Enclave. They went from a bad guy that shows force by taking the map over and had weapons that would at least hurt you, to one that had to be looked for and can very rarley even take a good amount of hit points.

In FO 4 I'd like to see The commonwealth as the enemy. They'd certainly be tough enough. And they share the same unpleasent traits that the BOS and Enclave have. They look down on everyone else as being uncivilied and less than human. They also believe that they are so right, that any means used to attain their goals is justified.

they also have a (potential) android army under their control. And you won't know who is a wastelander and who is an android (Terminator territory, admittedly, but still)

Mr. Enclave I believe the Enclave made a damn good virus, but tne delivery method in questionable at best. I m not even sure if it would really come out of the jet stream enough to do the job.
That plan more than likely would have failed on a world wide scale.

I ll get fo2 shorty them I ll be much better informed. From what I have hear and read about it, it probably would not have been as effective on a world wide scale as they say in game.

Most things that are tried fail. Did Enclave test how it would travel around the world and kill everything that walked or crawled????

Not that I read or heard, because you really can t test somthing like that. Radiation will change dna in many ways, how did Enclave know it would even kill half of everything in the world.
And if you auto immune, then you are auto immune. That s why the Black Death didn t kill every single person in the infected area. Even things like the bubonic pleage or ebola virus sp? that are air born contagins don t work like that.

It was designed only to target humanoid life and they tested it repeatedly on pure and non-pure humans. It is a varient of the Forced Evolutionary Virus, it was designed to kill; most of the things that they did failed becuase of a God-like PC, nothing that they did. The Enclave were hours away from initial deployment of the Project in Fallout 2 & in F3, well you know what I think on the Enclave loosing in that. It didn't target, non-pure humans, it just killed humanoid beings, without a vaccination you died a quick but agonising death. Would it have worked? I don't know, the real life Lack Isle Studios people weren't climatologists and there wasn't a wikipedia, in the Fallout universe I see no reason why it wouldn't work...

Hang on of course it would work, one of the main points about Fallout is that everyone has been exposed to a trace amount of FEV because the storage tanks of it at the West Tek lab were hit and everyone has been exposed; and that wasn't even the Enclav engineered, global killer.

Well, I definitely wouldn't want to see a "Brotherhood vs. Enclave" DLC as that would just seem ridiculous after what Bethesda did. However, I would love to see a DLC were they are featured a bit more. I'm not saying I want them to be the central focus, but it would be nice to have the ability to run in with them in a DLC and learn more about the Enclave from them (maybe do a few quests, etc). I also don't mind the idea of an Area 51 DLC with Enclave featured there, I think that could work depending how Obsidian handles it.

Mr Enclave Im not saying the virus would not have worked in a large area, but the chances if it being a global killer are slim to none. I don t want to see them at all in a dlc or anytime soon, I m just providing a canon wah Enclave COULD come back down the road. That is all. Im not an Enclave or fo expert, but I do try to read about the over all story to understand it. My idea would not go against canon, and would far more logical than a virus killing every humanoid in the world by releasing it in the jet stream. Bad guys are always wrong about things in games or movies, they also lie as well.

Anyone can say what they want, but my idea for bringing them back down the road is logical, and would not conflict canon games. I m not saying fo4 or fo5 I m talking about when they want to shake things up. You of all people should be looking for logical canon ways they can comeback down the road in force. I just looked a little bit and found one.
