thats stupid how in the UK the release date is 1AM and not 12:01AM, the mod said its released in GMT but thats UK time so how come we get it an hour later!? WTF!

They must have changed it at some point. You can check it anywhere and it says "unlocks in approximately 3 hours".

Why is it, we're GMT+1, and the Steam store says three hours to go :(

Me is wanting hugs  :cold:

Oh, what?

I've been waiting for 5 hours now with nothing to do, and now when Ichecked it it says 3 hours remaining.. :/ I was supposed to play tonight, as tomorrow its friday and I'll be out drunk or something.

Why do they always do this? Can't they just put the real release time on steam for once??

For some reason I expected this game to have agood release, as many people want it, but I guess they keep moving the clock back as much as is needed, rather than jsut put a time on it and work with it.

Personally, apart from one issue several years ago (I believe while they were still new on the scene), I've found them no worse than any other companies. Things always turn up on the expected day. They certainly don't give me the sinking feeling in my gut that City Link do.

When I did have an issue, I found their customer service to be non-existent (they just referred me to Amazon), but that may well have changed since they have become more successful.

Steam is owned by Valve -> intented release time + valve time = one extra hour 'till release.

I solved the case. Problem?

I'm a little confused. What is the issue with the release time? It was announced on the 18th that the lock time was 12:01AM GMT, which is 2 and a half hours from now (or, 3 hours ish from when old_andy complained about it being 3 hours away). As far as I can tell, they haven't changed the time for us.

12:01AM GMT = 1:01AM BST (i.e., the U.K.), or add the appropriate amount.

So, what are the complaints about?

People in the UK are forgetting we're on BST, not GMT. It's an easy mistake to make. :)

Thanks, do you know if getting games from them requires a signature? :)

I guess. It has been mentioned several times though. Teach me to expect people to read the previous posts.

Sorry. I can't remember. I think they might, but, it could also depend on what they were told to do by whoever you bought it from.

I'd guess your best bet would be to call their contact number first thing in the morning and ask (or, try now... doubt they will be in though). Their website is http://www.hdnl.co.uk/

You could also try leaving a signed note addressed to "HDNL Driver" or similar, giving your permission to leave it, taped to your door. Hopefully that should be good enough.

Thanks, It'll be OK, If the worst comes to the worst I'll just have to get it Re-Delivered. I cant tell them to leave it outside because I'm on holiday and I'd rather not trust my neighbors with it <_<

Mine kept saying it couldn't install the game from the CD because the game hadn't been released yet. Panic ensued but I restarted my computer and whether it needed that, or just the extra few minutes, it seems to be installing now. :)
