Microsoft pays for early DLC access, it's been going on for a long time and with several developers. It's not that big of a deal, Xbox users just have to play a buggy mess early. Just remember when everyone else gets the DLC it'll be better for it.

calm down op :/
its marketing
microsoft paid for rights to get it a bit early, just like the other consoles have paid for early dlc rights for other games
beth needs to fund itself just like any other business
dont be one of those fans that threatens to jump ship every time they get butthurt... its aggravating and insulting
and look on the bright side, it lets them find more bugs for the other platforms before their release
and its only 30 days, so... chill the fracking frack out and eat a sandwich or something

This is nothing new. Game developers have been doing this for years. There are game titles that are exclusive to PC, PS3, or 360. Take Halo for example. Halo one and two were available on x-box and pc. Starting with Halo 3 x-box only. Since it's only for the first thirty days I don't see the big deal. I could see your point more if it was to only be on the 360, and everyone else was left hanging.

If a game is exclusively on X-Box, I couldn't care less. I would never owe that system, so the games on it are unimportant. If I spend money on a game I expect the developer to be fair to all it's customers. The fact that so many on this forum keep with the "life isn't fair" line should know that I'm well aware of that. However, Bethseda is not owed by Microsoft, it has game players from 3 different systems therefore to give to some and not all is by definition alienating.
you know bethesda has every right, morally and logicaly, to say something like "hmmm surveys say not enough ps3 gamers are going to buy the dlc on july 26th (or whenever they plan on releasing it for ps3) to make it cost effective so we'll check again in 6th months and if it's not good enough then, then we just won't give it to them, but xbox and pc get it as scheduled"

You can't just keep saying that. People aren't pointing out the flaws in your opinion to hurt you, they're doing it so that you know why you're not getting it at the same time as Xbox users, and also why Bethesda has every right to do that.

Hello again, KMWMJ. I'm trying hard here to see things from your perspective. I can see your frustration, or at least, I think I do. Try to look at it this way: it's only 30 days and the game will be less buggy at the end of that tunnel for you to enjoy thoroughly. How does that sound?

Exactly. No money > No bethesda > No Skyrim > No Dawnguard. Is that what people want?

If you don't like it get an Xbox 360. Bethesda needs to make money to make more games. If they make more money this way, then I say go for it! The more money Bethesda makes, the more money they can put into epic games. That's how the world operates.

I am amazed these threads get attention every time they are posted. How many ways can this be discussed?

Its not really discussed, the xbox players just come in here and say "stop complaining, stop being a baby, just wait 30 its no big deal"
and ps3 and pc gamers are here wondering how we got screwed.

I want more TES games in the future. By all means make a profit so I can keep playing. After all they have provided me a service they should get paid for it.

Pay 50 bucks a year to play a game with friends, not skyrim, but ANY multiplayer game. That gives Microsoft money, and a lot of it, using that money they buy certain exclusives, for a limited time. Why? Because otherwise people would gravitate to other systems where they could get FREE multiplayer. Anybody [censored]ing about alienation, why should only XBox users have to pay for online play? I'd say we're alienated, if anything.

Very well. The opinion of everyone is clearly to the opposite of my own.

You weren't giving an opinion, though, You were making a claim about the morality of the issue (as Z to Debunk said). Namely: "It's unfair."

It's not a case of people having different opinions - people are giving you reasons and arguments as to why you're wrong to see this in moral terms, and to think it's unfair.

Reverting to "well,t hat's your opinion" is a little weak, in the current context.

I just wanted a discussion on it, but all I got was. "life's not fair, get over it" or Bethseda is a business and it will do want it wants to make a profit. Surprise, I know all that. I had expected at least some support in the idea that we all play the same game. By the way, the fact that X-Box player pay additional fees is not my problem, they chose to use that system, so svck it up.

OP, has Bethesda failed to abide by any agreement made with you in some fashion? Did you have an agreement with them that all multi-platform products would be available at the same time for all platforms?
