Has this been confirmed? There is no way they would release one so soon, and with so many issues left in the base game. Plus up to and after release they said they planned DLC, but not for a while. I dont except any till like Feb or March at least.

My god, aparantly it has. This is an incredibly stupid move on their part... releasing a DLC when the original game is still incredibly broken, and only releasing it for X-box to start. I really do not see this being a good DLC at all... :/

While im an xbox player i have to agree, but with console owners money they will be able to make more games in the series?
What i am more worried about is TES V,
If it comes out soon it will be as you said good to console players but maybe not as good as it could be for pc players?
On the other hand if they push it away for a year or so it might be part of the next generation of consoles and everybody wins?

There are alot of rumors that they are already well into making TES V, and its on a brand new game engine they wrote themselves. And the next generation of consoles is many years away. Right now sony is just fixing the PS3, microsoft is just fixing the X-Box, and Nintendo is unfortunately stuck with the Wii.

I feel like punching Beth Soft in the fricking head for making this exclusive to console gamers and I'd like to give one to anthony for making a fricking stupid ass comment on the beth blog. :banghead:

It's not exclusive to console gamers. Us, PS3 owners, are denied it as well.

My god this is an awfully long thread to sift through just to find out that the new DLC will be first released on Xbox and slowly moved to other platforms and what the DLC actually is about....I will agree that while it is crappy that they are releasing it on xbox first, it is however what it is. Constructive complaints should always be welcomed, however the amount of constant bashing in this thread I found it to be rather cumbersome....

Forums have been around for years, yet I find them to be all the same....flaming, bashing "personal opinions" misunderstood as the be all end all, which ultimately ends up in a thread (which should be informative to someone new to the series...but ends in someone being called a noob or some other obnoxious name because he/she hasnt been on the forums since 1955 lol) being locked.

While I'm sure almost every reasonable opinion is taken into consideration...I am sure that the threads full of [censored]es moans and complaints are ignored just as equally. Remember to keep a thread on topic and save the personal garbage for inbox's

its hard to see it as more then it is.

they wanted money, so they gave the finger to there Ps3 and PC fan base.

and what really ticks me off is whenever they announced there DLC they said, are fans will be happy to know that it will be xbox360 exclusive.

its like they consider 360 users fans, and other players are nothing.

Or maybe being excluded is blinding me with rage

I never once read that. They were quoted as saying that they were happy to be able to provide new content to fans. It was in a PR release about it being an Xbox exclusive.

Wanna see what they think of Playstation 3 users?

How about when they had a Q&A with Obsidian 1 week before FO:NV released and when asked about DLC, Obsidian answered: http://blog.us.playstation.com/2010/10/14/your-fallout-new-vegas-ps3-questions-answered-hardcoe-mode-morality-combat-and-more/comment-page-3/#comments

Do you plan on including many DLC add-ons for Fallout: New Vegas, as Fallout 3 did? (thanks @VGNtertainment)

We’re not really going into specifics on DLC, but we have a plan, and we think it’s a good one. You should hear more about it soon.

What’s the initial level cap.. and will DLC be exclusive to one console or another for any amount of time? (thanks @keeponrunning)

The level cap for Fallout: New Vegas is 30. As mentioned previously, we’re not discussing the details of downloadable content right now. Stay tuned!

Then, 1 day before release, we see: http://www.gameplaymonthly.com/xbox-360-gets-exclusive-dlc-for-fallout-new-vegas/

Bethesda Softworks?, a ZeniMax? Media company, today announced plans to develop add-on content for Fallout?: New Vegas?, the follow-up to the 2008 Game of the Year, Fallout? 3. The first downloadable content for Fallout: New Vegas will be available this holiday season through Xbox LIVE? for the Xbox 360? video game and entertainment system from Microsoft.

Same thing happened in BioWare forums when the much hyped "Epic community event" that turned out to be only for americans. Excluding two states. I guess game comppanies don't take this PR stuff too seriously :lmao: Still it was fun to see all those "I used to be a part of the community. Now i'm just from (nation)" signatures everywhere.

Maybe we should use it here -"I used to be a fan. Now i'm just a PC/PS3player" :D

well i dont know if its the right topic but as far the late history showed that ps3 users got beta bug filled broken games...(including COD black ops) well maybe because xbox users enjoying the goods and microsoft knows how to do it well.

Not having a PC version is a real middle finger to the fans who've followed Fallout from the beginning.

The classic Fallout games weren't available on the 360. The fact that you switched platforms doesn't negate my point that Bethesda should offer a PC version.

You may not use PC, that's fine, I'm not saying take anything away from you.

Seeing as the setting has you searching for 'The Treasure of the Sierra Madre', they should allow you to try to give the Sunset Sarsaparilla Deputy Badges to someone threatening to kill you, with the obvious response of "Badges? We don't need no stinkin' badges!".

Those badges make a lovely calling card....in my Mojave you don't want to become a "Sunset Sarasparilla Deputy". :gun:

PPL

Now in gaming, the words exclusive is a weird thing

There is EXCLUSIVE...and INITIALLY EXCLUSIVE...I think its just an tactic...Didnt PS3 get the F3 DLC kinda late as well? Im pretty sure this just means PS3 will get the Dead Money DLC but just not on the release date...you will still get it later on.

I certainly hope that is the case, I wish they would confirm or deny it. Until then, I think its worthwhile to remind Bethesda that we're here with money and willing to purchase it if they make it available.

Do people really still think that one single platform is going to exclusively receive Downloadable Content.. forever?

I thought Fallout fans had some common sense.. or at least a minor understanding of business.

Anywho, I want some damn screenshots or a trailer for Dead Money already. I'm itching for it.

That sort of thing is highly illegal. I'm sure it'll happen anyway, but I, and many others, don't really want to support piracy.

If Beth doesn't want my moneyses, that's their loss.

i understand comepletely what your saying. i just wanted to point it out to beth and everyone crying about it that eather beth or someone else is gonna eventually put it out there. crying about it isnt going to change anything. its just a matter of does beth get the money or the shaft for doing what there doing simple. and i hope the people at beth read this and a light bulb goes off in there brain. saying yup its gonna happen and why are we messing over the masses that dont like xbox for a one time bribe. when all the money were gonna lose out on because of that same bribe.

not to mention from what ive read those non hardcoe fo fans most have already moved on to other games.leaving new vegas as a dust collection due to no upgraded ai or graphics or engine. adding a new coat of paint to a pinto car doesnt make it a ferrari its still gonna be a pinto. we want a better ai and graphics. i mean look at every other game out there. brothers in arms, black ops. crysis, etc and how there graphics are compared to the same ones you've been using since before oblivion.
we have to update our computers to play newer games. same with xbox and ps3 users. newers systems and drivers to support newer graphics etc.well if we have to upgrade our systems to play top notch gear and games. why cant you before you put out the same thing over and over again?
i mean even warcraft is upgrading there stuff and there an online rpg game. not an offline single player.
what there doing by making the dlc x box exclusive while putting the game itsself out to all systems is like being a parent and having 3 kids and saying ok you can have cookies but you 2 cant and have to watch that one eat it. its just plain wrong...

Your post would benefit from the use of paragraphs, so excuse me if I haven't fully gotten the gist of it!

MS and Sony are both going to use exclusives (even if time limited), to give their systems an edge. And I'm sure publishers work out how much they need to persuade them it's worth while. Somebody reckoned Rockstar would have demanded over $100 million dollars to make GTA IV a PS3 exclusive, to compensate from potential lost 360 sales.

Brothers in Arms etc are not RPGs, and graphics don't necessarily make a great game. I finally played Crysis recently after getting a new PC that could run it at full spec, and yes, pretty graphics, but I was bored stiff by the story and gameplay. Also, the A.I. in, for example, Black Ops is not exactly state of the art.
