I'm sure quest mods created by the community will be better anyway, so Micro$oft can eat [censored].

Bethesda... why do you forsaken us? Do you hate the letter "P"? PC and PS3 users are your fans... dont choose short term benefits from Micro$oft when we have much to offer in the long term, such as loyalty and continued purchases.

I don't get why everyone's worked up....

you wouldn't be upset if you just had New Vegas on it's own and no additional downloads so why get upset that there's something extra? If you don't like it, don't buy it.

I think you're missing the part that people are pissed off about the exclusivity of the DLC, which is only for Xbox 360 for the time being.

No, that part's fairly obvious. The question is "If Microsoft threw a couple of million at you to release an add-on early on the Xbox, would you say no?"

Keeping in mind that Beth probably ran the numbers and decided this made business sense.

And try to be honest.

It would make sense if there were more people playing New Vegas on Xbox then PC. I could be wrong but I think there are more PC players out there then Xbox. If I am right Microsoft must have given them more then a couple million.

Dear Beth this is how I feel

You are the sun
You are the rain
That makes my life this foolish game
You need to know
I love you so
And I'd do it all again and again

There probably are more players on Xbox, but it would make sense either way. You have to consider how much Bethesda gets for the exclusive, how much extra they might earn due to MS promoting the DLC and how much they might save on advertising. Then compare that to how much they might lose from PC and PS3 players who decide not to get it when it does come out for them. If the majority of PS3 and PC players still buy it, which I think they will, then there is a big advantage to the exclusive deal.

Add into that the fact that this deal was leaked even before the game released and that MS may have actually fronted the cost for developing the DLC in the first place (or part of it) and it is even more advantageous.

Touché, put it that way it makes sense. As other have already said I doubt that it will only be for Xbox. At some point they will make it for PC and playstation. Still I can't help feel mad about it.

1) Why are you worried about if people complain? I'm not trying to start a flame war, but why does it matter? If people complaining bothers you, avoid the thread. I don't go into threads on topics that I know would annoy me.

2) Yes, this is a good game. But what does that have to do with basically being told in effect that unless we bought the Xbox 360 version, we basically made a mistake?

3) You ASSUME it will come out eventually. And yes, sooner or later it MAY. But there's always a chance it won't. And also, it's possible that by the time it does, people will lose interest.

4) What do you suggest we do instead of commenting and complaining? Isn't complaining the way of telling them that people who bought the game for something other then the Xbox wouldn't mind being able to play the DLC as well? Worst case, complaining does nothing. Best case, it does get herd and they DO develop it for the other gaming platforms, or if they do have plans for it move up their schedule and do it sooner.

5) A lot of complaints would be aleviated if they would mention if/when they plan on putting out the DLC for the other platforms. Yes, some would complain if it's not "soon enough", but at least some people would be happy to hear that they too will be able to play the DLC, even if it's a bit later then the Xbox 360 players.

6) Finally, it IS possible to find this to be a great game, and yet be annoyed that they aren't doing the DLC for every platform. You seem to imply that people don't feel it is if they complain about not being able to get the DLC, or that they don't appricate the game if they complain. That's an absurd suggestion. People CAN appricate the game, yet still be upset over the lack of a DLC for anything other then the Xbox.

Is it bashing if people feel it's a legit complaint? I personally feel it's legit. My intent isn't to bash Bethesda, but to just voice my opinion that it was a foolish move, and that yes it does annoy me that only Xbox 360 players can get the DLC.

And before someone answers, I'd think the same if I was an Xbox player who bought the Xbox copy too. I might not be AS annoyed, but I'd still think it foolish.

as a frequent buyer of Bethesda RPGs it saddens me when i miss out on content, most people will tell you that this DLC will not remain permanently Exclusive to the Xbox, but this is just speculation.

i assume this will happen in the same way as fallout 3. you will release a DLC then some time later the other console users will have access to it. and to other forumers, what do you assume will happen.

my only questions are to the Devs are these.

1. will this be a permanent exclusive

2. if not then how long after the release of the 360 version untill us Ps3 and PC users will get it.

3. is this the plan for all the DLC for this game.

i understand that you have non-disclosure agreements, but i dont know what you are and are not permitted to tell.

if you can answer this, please do.

but i understand if you cannot

This is the only comment I'll say over the DLC..

Since you've chosen to ignore me as a PS3 owner, in that we don't get the DLC same day as the 360 (Bethesda really does like to punish it consumers doesn't it).. then I'll ignore the DLC when it's finally released for the PS3. I'll spend my money elsewhere and damn your argument that if we don't buy the DLC we might not get it.. Isn't that what you're doing now?

I'll wait for the Fallout: New Vegas GOTY - BUT unlike last year when I went out and bought the Fallout 3 GOTY at retail.. I'll buy the FO:NV GOTY USED..

One has to wonder, is it really a good idea to be producing DLC when your game is having lots of playability problems? Even with the fact that two different teams work on patches and DLC content, one has to wonder... is it the best idea to be adding content to an already very unstable game? Fallout 3 had issues with it's DLC causing problems for a lot of people, and I just see the DLC as a really bad idea in general, because of the games current list of problems.

How could they even properly test the DLC if the patch isn't finished? Wouldn't the patched version of the game be the version that the DLC is supposed to be tested on?!

I just hope they patch the game before X-mas..I'll hold off on buying the DLC until a couple days go by.

I was already looking forward to the dlc, but now I'm really excited. I was told there would no increase in level and I believed it because the cap was already at 30 when New Vegas came out. Level 35! Yes! I'll buy dlc forever if they keep increasing the cap.

Bethesda Softworks, you mean, right? I love Bethesda Game Studios. They are my favorite game development company of all time, but their publishers, who share a confusingly similar name which gets mixed up with Bethesda Game Studios far too much (referring to Bethesda Softworks here), are shunning their PS3 and, now, their PC fanbase for some extra cash from Microsoft. They deserve to be bashed about this. The only reason I buy anything from them is because they publish both TES and Fallout games. Subsequently, as the publishers, I'm pretty sure they control who gets what. I sure wish people differentiated between the two Bethesdas as the only real similarity between the two is that they are both owned by ZeniMax Media, which is to say their relationship is as close as Id's and Bethesda Softworks'. They're separate, sister companies and Bethesda Game Studios, being a game development company, doesn't seem as though it controls DLC, although I'm just speculating. Perhaps someone here can inform me on who controls these deals. Is it ZeniMax Media? Bethesda Softworks? A combination?

What? You wish people would stop complaining about this? Why? Does it concern you?

Whether people had forewarning or not is completely irrelevant to this discussion. And ofc the game is great even without the DLC, but that's also completely beside the point.

Yeah uhm could J.E or someone else from Obsidian/Bethesda confirm in an upcoming pre-view or interview or press release or whatever whether or not we will get more traits in this DLC?
I mean you're going to give us a level cap increase (which was not needed but whatever) so please add some traits as well with it.

Someone need to remark the difference between Bethesda Softworks and Bethesda Game Studios

I second this, but the level cap increase was unnecesary

Wikia:
"This being an extension of Fallout: New Vegas, players will encounter several unique characters, each with their own motivations, all of whom will have to work together if any of them are going to survive. Aside from just struggling with their would-be companions, the courier will also have to deal with the mysterious Ghost People as well as the casino's substantial defense systems."
Would-be?

Anyway, I know that the DLC is like 20 days away but could you please include a companion with it that we can bring back to MW? (Mojave Wasteland)
