Yet another goalless first half, time for Spain to start taking a few chances and showing a bit of flair.

Spain had 67% of play in the first all they need to do now is put all that possession into goals

Swiss 1-0 up.

What was that Casillas? Reina is the best keeper in the world by a mile.

Anyone know why Casillas didn't get sent off btw, or Pique? If it had been a penalty they'd have gone off. What's the rule on scything down the opposition and conceding a goal anyway?

Silly Spainards took 61 minutes to work out that leaving the best striker in the world on the bench is a silly idea.

Edit:

No idea but if you remember Liverpool v Chelsea in the 2005 Champions League semi-final second leg then a similar thing happened. Baros went past Cech who took him down and Garcia smashed it in (:P) and we got the goal on advantage but Cech was allowed to stay on despite being the last man.

Bloody hell. Spanish defence have gone mental.

I told you - they're like Swiss cheese and at times the Swiss are cutting through it like a Swiss army knife. Now if only the referee whistled end at exactly 90:00 so I can say he's precise like a Swiss watch and then I can die as far as I'm concerned.
