Well... that's unexpected.

Congratulations Switzerland. Wish I hadn't missed it all but the last ten minutes =/ This one seemed like something to watch.

What just happened?

Seriously. This is what the World Cup has been missing. But what did Villa do the last thirty minutes? What did Pique and Puyol do around the goal and that almost-2-0-situation? Why did Pedro not pass Torres? How could Alonso's shot not result in a goal - it was worthy of two. And despite being in Real Madrid for a season now he's still my favourite centre midfielder.
And how could they add on five minutes? And how could Spain not take advantage of it? And how did Switzerland play so well?

And what just happened?

I'm in shock.

Wow, what an amazing game! Those Swiss were amazing! (they could have even won 2-0)

But man, that ref is terrible! 5 minutes added time? A corner to Spain that was not deserved near the very end? Ending the game at 96 minutes? A yellow to a Swiss player that was obviously not deserved? Is he Spanish?!!

Anyways, since it didn't change the outcome of the game I wont complain too much. Bravo à la Suisse! Congratulation Switzerland!

..and I am in a grumpy mood now - yeah, more than normal. :stare:

Kudos to Switzerland for getting a scrappy goal, but Spain should have scored, plus they seemed to loose heart towards the end.

However, I am over it now. :D

Switzerland totally didn't deserve that.

Brazil to win the cup. I was torn between Spain and Brazil at the start, but Brazil have shown they have what it takes to break down defensive teams, while Spain looked totally out of ideas. Watching Switzerland was like watching Rangers in the Champions League.

Spain, England, Brazil & Germany is my prediction. I just don't think Argentina have it in them just now.

Well having watched all 32 teams the Germans have been the best one, but having said they where playing against an Aussie team whose back 4 looked very old and knackered I think the youngest was 31

Well you shouldn't be too sore because Spain will go all out in their next 2 matches. I think the manager and the whole team were too complacent today.

What was that Casillas? Reina is the best keeper in the world by a mile.

I think Buffon might have something to say about that.

Forlan will score one tonight.

Argentina have been one of the better teams so far (although that not hard so far). They were solid in their first game and passed the ball around well.

Overall, I think the competition has been quite rubbish overall so far. Just about everyone has underperformed and there has been a severe lack of goalscoring. Sort yourselves out lads.
