Is there any way to change the skin to a lighter color? I always used the tan skin on the old version, and the black and gray color scheme annoys me.

Meh. Overall, I actually like it. It's grown on me. I kinda like the new style. :)

I have another complaint, the earliest birthday you can set is 1911,there are a lot of people over 98 who browse internet gaming forums! :brokencomputer:

Is it just me or is the text a bit more gray than it was earlier today?

And you can turn off comments.

Maybe I'm mistaken, but my understanding was comments on the profile were set to "off" by default.

We'll work on changes. To say that many changes will be made over the weekend might be presumptuous (Nick's in the office next week, though I'm on travel almost all week). As mentioned in a post earlier, we needed to make an upgrade to the new Invision boards, so a change had to happen at some point. We'll continue to work on improvements. At the very least, for the time being, I hope some of the new functions (quick PMs, for instance) are useful

I'm getting off for tonight so when this topic reaches it's limit can someone make another? Just quote the original post of this topic and put it in the new one, then remove the quote tags. Remember to link to this thread.

I know I said I was going to stop making threads before, but I mean it this time :P

Thanks a lot for keeping in touch with us, Gstaff. :) We appreciate it. The new forums pretty much rock, a few things to get used to, but I'll be staying. :P
I mean, after all, we all know what sacrifices must be made for your grand TES:V announcement. :D
Right!

I would like the little PM pop-up thing to be in the middle of the screen instead of at the very tippy top. This has been annoying me since the last incarnation of these forums as i always seem to miss that I have a PM.

Has anybody noticed that the PM system has been turned into it's own min-thread? I think it's kind of cool.

Please make a link to Community Discussion in the homepage of this site...Hell I'll do it for you. Doesn't need to have fancy graphics or anything, just a little link somewhere.

Widescreen support would be nice, as stated before.

Also where is the IRC channel people are talking about? Can't find it anywhere.

The update is nice and I'm one who likes surprises, but it just seems like you should've requested some feedback from us before you did all this. There's a lot of people who don't like it sadly.

I can't guarantee what will and won't get changed soon.

As I mentioned before, the themes of the old forums are out. When upgrading the software (which we had to do for a number of reasons), we switched to this format that uses a background image (almost like a wallpaper). I've heard some feedback on which backgrounds people like, which ones they don't, and we'll take a look at that. We'll continue to look at feedback on what you like don't like. I get the sense people aren't a big fan of the background in CD...we can work on that.

On a random aside, does anyone notice that your avatar image looks a little crisper. I find myself paying more attention to avatar's now. Lil Wayne is popping out on the screen for me.

irc://irc.chatspike.net/elderscrolls

http://www.bahnhof.se/wb462449/elderscrolls/chat/ for it (but I suggest you use a dedicated client)

I personally like the backgrounds for the other forums..but not so much CD.

The way code (for scripts) is shown is interesting with the colourcoding - don't want to be a Carth but the white background for code seems to have a lot of glare - it used to be on a grey background which was boring but weirdly more readable than the new version - if it's possible to slightly grey the code background that would be appreciated.

Despite the changes - I'm grateful to have the community back - it was oddly isolating to be without the ability to log on at will

edit: must of done a typo causing a censored sign to pop up ?

Okay. Just out of curiosity, is there one board you think looks the best? For me, there's backgrounds I like more than others, but we tried to find ones that keep things readable. Granted, community discussion didn't get a specialized backrground. After feedback from the moderators, we added the grey background to make things easier on the eyes (it was all black previously).

I know I said something about this "x" amount of threads ago, but what happened to the saved notes? I've already been through every setting possibility that there is, but now it's a big blank white space which used to contain valid and unretrieveable information. Some people seemed to have retained thiers, I am not one of them.

Your PMs, or something else (I've never made "notes" before)??

No the pm's are snuggly tucked in where they should be, I mean the "post snippets" thingy which I abused to the fullest.

I agree. It's bugging me that I went from two to seven stars with no change in rank.
