Knowing Play as I do, it should be delivered on Thursday, kinda svcks because I'm getting it delivered to a house I won't get to 'til Friday anyway. Ha ha. That's gonna hurt. Bet I get a call Thursday morning saying I have a package, and I'll spend all of that day cursing the fact that I could be playing it. <_< lol

I have a question, actually. If I had gotten my game delivered to my address, and it arrived Thursday, would Steam deny activation until the official date of release on Friday? Or will I have been able to play it early?

you can't activate it until 12:01 am gmt Friday. So really, it makes no difference if it arrives thurs morning or fri morning, you're not going to be playing it until fri morning (unless you pull an all-nighter)

finally we in the U.S. get something first yay!! but look at all the crap we have to put up with for the next month (elections) every f ing channel it is vote for me i will polish your knob, no vote for me I am a better knob polisher. So I get to turn off the television and immerse myself into an awesome world were MY actions actually matter. As for Australia I switch places with ya. If anyone has ordered from GAME (.co.uk) has your status been changed from picked and packaged yet? i'm not in the middle of nowhere or in a different country, so i'd expect mine to arrive if not early than at least on time.

On a side note does anyone know if game ships games early or are they only ready for release date.

yep. i got an email today saying it was dispatched.

if royal mail do their job right (they usually do) i will have it on Thursday (Game tend to ship a day early)

Well mines been "picked and packed" for two days now... and I haven't had an e-mail. So unless their warehouse is f-in huge, they just can't be arsed to send it/hate me/want to send it for release date.

Norwegian here and also need to wait until Friday, though I'm used to it and besides it does give us the entire weekend to play so it's not that bad.

I picked the most expensive one they had, assuming thats the fastest.

To guy based in Norway, I'm a two week holiday from this week. I have nothing to do to dull the boredom except revise for assesments.

see now threes the problem. picking the most expensive one will make the game show up on the day of release. whereas the free one will make it show up the day before release.

Generally it is at least for post-release orders, personally I've found even the 'standard' delivery from Game will get there for the release day at the latest (That's been the case for myself for well into double figure pre-orders with them now). Having said that, I also know some other people who haven't managed to get their pre-ordered game on time.

@Princess Stomper, I know how you feel waiting on it downloading and having the additional wait for it to be unlocked for yourself on Friday before you can play it.

Back to the topic at hand, I'm having to endure until friday myself before I can get my twitching grubby mitts on it and see for myself how it is as well as trying to keep clear of any topics that look like they might contain potential spoilers (I don't envy the Moderators who want to play it but haven't got a copy of having to wade through all the threads and lock or move them to a more appropiate section of the forum).

Don't worry guys when you get the disc you have to down load all content from steam. And depending on your DL rate and how busy the server is will dictate when your game will be playable. Such BS!!! I love the collector's edition but can't stand the fact i have to down load the damn game :banghead:

Just saw my first UK advert for FO:NV on tv tonight, boy did the advert svck imo, a guy with the masked combat armour, shooting a 50cal from a roof "that's it??" I thought 20 secs of nothing.
No music, no comedy, no suspense, I really hope they went with that because everything else would've got censored.
