Yes, we Aussies share UK's pain.

Some strange reason USA get "special" treatment.

Yeah - it kind of svcks that we have to pay more ( at least if purchased from Steam ) and also wait longer ... :brokencomputer:

Also bad business for publishers if they bothered to think about it for a while.

We pay more, have to wait longer... If I was not old annoying bastard I would be tempted to tell them to stuff it.
But since I am, and missus makes it impossible to go for bingegaming... And salary is decent... I'm pretty much like "bleh".

New-Zealander here, I pre-ordered this game online and I just found it could take ten days to get here. But to make it worse they only start shipping on the day. Yes, I did buy express.
So that makes another -possible- 11 and a half days of wait.

I just pre-ordered the game in UK too.
and i'm exited about all the new content and such, now i've been looking through topics in this forum and most of them seem the usual "omg this is cool, or not cool" stuff with one exception.

I see some people have problems with save bugs. i'm surprised this is the case, but i'm glad i read up before i um wait even more for the game :P.
Now just so i get this right, my manual saves will be okay yes?

If that is the case (please correct me if i'm wrong) then i shouldn't have a problem, as i'm used to manual saving games ever since i played allied assault many years ago. :)

imho quick saves are nice mostly if the game crashes or i make a really stupid decision, but i never rely on them anyways.
To use an anology, i would compare quick saving to a stop-gap measure, to fix a leak in a pipe, a manual save is like adding in a new pipe to replace the broken part.

and as an extra kick to the game developers, fix this bug pronto please.

Sorry to hear Euro gamers. This game is great fun so far at ten hours in. The iron sites on the weapons are my favorite part. Very often I get critical kills in one shot using iron sites. So far I've been more successful using iron sites over V.A.T.S.
A lot of the rooms and factories look exactly like FO3. Pretty much the whole entire waste looks like FO3. Until you get to Vegas and the surrounding area. The enemies like to group together and all attack at once. Because of this I've died many many times. Sadly you cannot go everywhere or even near everywhere on the map. It kind of has this snaked out big area that you can explore. Mountains block huge portions of the map unfortunately. But it seems just as big as FO3. To make up for this there are a lot more towns and camps with NPC's that give you more to do. I've already found three or four pubs, a [censored]house, and two casino's. All outside of the Vegas strip.

Now nearly everything you collect has a purpose as it can be used in ingredients to make your own stimpacks, food, wine, anti-venom, etc. My advice would be to build up your speech early on and SAVE SAVE SAVE your caps. Sell everything you can and make sure you have plenty of caps(thousands) by the time you head toward Vegas. So try not to rush there or you will be disappointed.

I play using surround sound and I will say that there are a lot of unnerving sounds in this game. It's good fun though. I thought I was being attacked by invisible enemies for the longest time. It turns out that it is just the sound they play when you discover a new location.

I'm sorry you all have to wait and I think it'll be worth it as this is a great game. Have fun!

Ooo, really? They're sending that out early? Have to send a message ahead to my good friends, "Store my code in a Vault-Tec approved Vault if it's arrived already. If that maniac sprog of a miniature human being you created loses or otherwise disturbs the order by skewing the contents of mystical code... there will be... horrible consequences." *shiver* "Oh yes. Horrible, horible consequences."

Not really read any feedback on the Caravan contents. Lighter leatrher armour seems like something I'll be discarding relatively quickly, and I'm more of a rifleman than a pheasant hunting shotgun fondler. Seems a bit weak but eh, s'all free so...

I seriously hope my copy come's tomorrow (Thursday) because I'm away for the weekend and I would honestly cry for every moment I'm away if it doesn't arrive tomorrow or early in the morning on Friday. I ordered it off Amazon but I'm hearing that they are currently low on stock so I could recieve mine a bit late =S Can anyone confirm this?

Design. It's a lot easier to make one set of boxes for a whole region and then hand out the pre-order serial codes separately, than putting them in the boxes and then taking them out again when pre-order time is over, isn't it? ^_^

Well, theres only one way to show our dissatisfaction to the publisher. Wait until monday and buy the game used. There is always someone who buy the game and expect something completely different, who will return it. We save money and the publisher gets a message in a language they understand money :hubbahubba:

Sunny Australia here. We release games on Thursday with a few pre-orders; like me, getting it on a Wednesday. Friday? Fark that. Thats not the rule. Thursday is new release day here. Of course, you picked Friday. You picked Friday for some god-unknown reason. The disc went gold weeks ago. Plenty of time to ship it to Uzbekistan or wherever the fark. Why do I have to wait to play my CE edition? I got the damn media right here, all disc like and totally fricking useless beyond its aluring prismatic qualities. I guess I could fark it or something but my massive dong doesn't fit.

Meh, I got a new Jack Reacher novel, four episodes of Dexter, Civ 5 and a professional dancer girlfriend - who is a redhead - to keep me occupied until the weekend. Fark you guys, I'll be back on Saturday. You better have the NPC and save bugs fixed by then. Farkers. Fark you. Fark off. My balls. Huge.

that wont work, as soon as you install it and register it with steam the game is useless to anyone other than your account.

Yeah I thought it would be with the box, as in, next to the cheesy pamphlet of other special offers that comes with everything, and the statement/receipt on the A4 sheet with yet more suggestions and a few top ten lists and the "see what people who bought this also bought!" list. lol

Out of interest are you a fan of Keith Taylor's Bard books Niamh? Is that how you chose your username? ^_^

My CE off GAME hasn't been dispatched either. It still says picked and packaged, as it did yesterday and the day before that. I chose express (the more expensive one) but apparently i was amateur and should have gone with normal to get it early :/.

Yup, if you pre order a game they dispatch it according to the time it should take to deliver, EG: regular delivery is 3 days beforehand (for me it's usually delivered after 2 so I get it a day early :D) and if you go for an upgraded delivery option they change the dispatch date accordingly.

nah, you can blame me Ma :P

I take it we can't enter this code into steam until we've installed the game, right? Would bad things happen if I did it now?
