Game Jam to DLC? what would you like to see in it.

Post » Tue Jun 12, 2012 11:46 am

Yeah i agree with you,and also some bethesda guy said there was going to be a vampire perk tree on the gamejam video too,but they need to cut it off  remember that todd said we only got to see 60% of the gamejam stuff i think. And also what if you got acrobatics skill when you become a vampire? maybe that sounds stupid but...
That's what I want, Maybe they could have a separate line in the perk tree that goes jumping enhanced x 2 then x3 then x 4. I would be very happy with that.

If they added that, I would be very satisfied. Imagine how much and how different the world would look and play for us stealth vampire archers.

Ahem....i never said the original crimson scars did i ? Say you're a vampire and just completed the dark brotherhood, Babette could in a conversation bring up some info on an old sub sect of the DB called crimson scars and she could propose to you to re-establish the order for vampires.

So not only is it a extra DB quest line but a vampire one at that which we have all been waiting for ages.
While that would be awesome, I think it won't happen only because we have an assassin guild already. It would make sense to add some vampire politics in the game, knowing they have their own territories and feuds. Think of it as the civil war of vampires, but more secretive. Morrowind had it, so did Daggerfall. Oblivion did not have it because the vampires there pretty much wiped everyone else clean, unless new ones show up. But we know Janus will get pissed and send you on a massacre errand.

Well the CS would work as one of many factions of vampires, they would be the stealth assassin type while other factions could be more magic based or warrior types which would be similar to morrowind only these are factions not bloodlines and CS would be necessary because vampires can do things the normal dark brotherhood can't.
Regardless any new quest or faction for vampires and werewolves would be welcomed.

Bloodlines would be far better to give a sense of variety for players.

True but bethesda would more likely make factions than go through the trouble creating a new bloodline.

If they had different powers at least, it would be great. But it's like adding the civil war and only allow you to fight for one side.

you could fight for one side anyway since once you chose that was it.

Civil war would be good for vampires, three factions and three sub-factions within each.
The main factions should be like a civil war about what vampires should do, one side may believe they should rule skyrim openly and brutally, one side may want to simply co-exist with mankind again openly and the third may wish to keep their existence hidden and never live openly.
Now the sub-factions should be simply class types, warrior, mage, stealth and each one gives a bonus unique for each sub-faction.

I meant that it would be bad to only allow the player to play on side instead of choosing between the two. As in force the player to fight for the Stormcloack with no possibility of even joining the Empire.

Two or three would be just fine. A more barbaric clan that would attempt to take over by brute force, as you said. And a hidden one who is more politically inclined and civilized. I don't agree with the coexisting with humans thing. We have that stuff for werewolves already.

It's like saying a bat would coexist with their favorite food.

Vampires were once humans, its no stretch to say they could remain attached to their former humanity and would like to return to as much normalcy as their condition lets them.
But yeah, a barbaric one with three sub-factions and a more hidden and secretive one also with three SF and with other vampires simply wanting to be human again or live amongst them without fear. The vampires at CV's shrine actually wanted to be human again.

True, but it's been done various times in ES, it would seem.

You would consider new clans or old clans to fight each other?

Of course but there should be different types of vampires personalities, i personally prefer evil vampires but having good vampires give evil vampire players an enemy to fight rather than fighting other evil vampires.

I liked (or had no opinion on) everything except moving platforms. I wouldn't like it if skyrim was turned into a platformer. I hope if they do decide to do that it's an optional dlc by itself instead of a patch or mixed with the other features or something.

Yes i too miss them but basically a corpse raised to be a slave qualifies as a zombie, hell they were the first zombies since it was only due to the movies that people think zombies are flesh eating monsters.

Vampires need a rehaul. I still think they're mostly backward; Feeding should make you stronger, not dumb you down to the weakest.

The only improvement from Oblivion is that wandering around in the sun won't kill you, you'll just be gimped a little. That's fine as far as I'm concerned.

But there's still no incentive to be one. No quests, no clans, nothing.

I don't see vampires as evil. I just don't. Regardless of their nature. But I guess for those people who believe in such morals and stuff like that, it's good because they can try to symphatize with the faction.
