Canis root warded off werebears

Not really, that only stopped wearbears and lycanthropes in general from entering people's homes sine they were supposed to plant it nearby their homes.

The guy I quoted said wolfsbane was used on people's houses in skyrim (assuming as protection) ... Well it wasn't wolfsbane but canin root! So I don't see what you're getting at :S

The canin root was to stop them entering houses and villages but the wolfsbane itself is very lethal to werewolves. Remember, villagers are known to be very superstitious.

I'd like to have something like building up a new city from scratch as Jarl, protecting it against attacks from different groups of enemies/soldiers. Having the ability to own shops, farms, animals, building a house from scratch, Also a new quest line involving some type of civil war.

Watching that video again makes me kind of depressed since a large portion of it is fairly unachievable or at least very difficult with mods, and we are unlikely to ever actually see it added to the game by Beth. Even though I doubt it, I really hope the graphical updates make it into any upcoming dlc at least.

Seasonal foliage, Flow based water shader, Verlet surfaces for non-rigid objects, Ambient Occlusion ... Doubt we will ever see any of these and they are all pretty much impossible to do as mods :(

Buffs in magic, improved lycans and vampires, and robes of all kinds that don't come pre-enchanted.

I certainly agree there, a lot of us explained how we like the volkihar improved with the vampire lord in the other thread but i also posted potential improvement in the first post of this one.

Rehashing oblivion's vampires game mechanics was a very bad move by bethesda.
Yes but making the Volkihar deathly allergic to sunlight isn't the solution either. I just don't think people would go for that nowadays.

No one is saying they should be deathly affected by sunlight but they should have some differences compared to other vampires.
like ice-based powers as a focus for the volkihar.

That does indeed sound good but put of everything so far that is the unlikely thing to do so far.

Tbh half of that video shouldn't be a DLC. Spears, mounted fighting and some similar stuff should have been in original game. They shouldn't have to make us pay extra money for something that has been in the game before (such as spears) and stuff that is perfectly logical to be there in the 1st place. It's kinda like giving us bows in game, and then selling a DLC that gives us arrows.

Azura knows I love Bethesda and I'm glad they got a whole lot of new fans, but Todd Howard and the rest of the crew are treating us, years long fans for over a decade, like thumb-svcking children.

I agree there, there are a lot of dlc that is all ready in the game but not unlocked., so i reckon.. add what is already in the game!!
vampire lord, werebears, spears, new spells. etc. .Of course that doesn't mean its already in game, but it could of been and could still be.

Well something like werebears or vampire lords (the new flying creature mesh they made) could be a DLC if they'd add a good long questline with it, expansion style.

I agree there, vampire lord and werebear is a must have but it depends on bethesda.

They need to do Mudcrab Mirelurks and Mudcrab King.

Well, not necessarily, but they have to do something with Mudcrabs. They are practically one of the founding pillars that holds TES together, I don't even know why they haven't changed the cover to a pic of a giant Mudcrab yet.

Mounted Combat, Better Follower AI, Werebears, Lycanthropy Perk Tree and Vampire Finishers are a must. Lycanthropy needs a Perk Tree far more than Vampirism does, due to the fact that Vampires still have access to 100% of their perks, while a transformed Lycanthrope has access to none of their perks.

Its a must for WereBears, i mean there supposed to be in Skyrim, one book explains that many people place wolfsbane? (i think) on there houses. its been asked by the community many times and its in the lore of the province.

Canis Root. The "On Lycanthropy" book from Daggerfall stated that the people of Skyrim rubbed Canis Root on the trees near their house to ward off Werebears; the most common Lycanthrope in Skyrim. In Bloodmoon however, there were some houses in the Skaal Village that had dried Wolvesbane hanging in them.

hmm i am surprised some of my comments are coherent due to my drunkness last night . :)

Yeah Canis root was supposedly used to ward off werebears but i can't recall if there was proof to it or if it was just superstition.
There was a book about a guy looking for lycanthropes in skyrim and found most people to be paranoid and superstitious.

There is nothing at sea. I remember in one of the build up hype vids the devs was talking about how much life was in the oceans..

Also, I have also seen that underwater blurry effect that was in that Skyrim Dlc video in my game already in the past, It would sometimes work but that was far and between. It left me wondering how much of that Dlc video is actually locked in the game.

Yeah some dlc content in some games are actually already in the game but its locked. There is nothing at sea which is why there should be threats in the ocean or rivers, mudcrabs and slaughterfish are not much of a threat.
