Greybeard's Robe

The Thalmor robe looks awesome. It has always annoyed me that you can't get one without the enchantment, lol.

I wish you could get unenchanted versions of all the robes.

It surprises me how thin the selection of robes in the stores are. Even at the College.

The only unenchanted version of the "Mages Robes" I could get is the "College Robes" from Radiant Raiment which look like the Expert level robes. I don't get how you can find unenchanted robes of one of the higher tiers of magic but not unenchanted robes of the lower levels. I like the look of Novice, Apprentice, and Adept Robes more, I just wish I could put the enchantments I wanted on them.

It seems to me that this is something Bethesda planned to add in the first DLC. Or maybe that's just me?

I hope so. There's so many clothes I want to get in this game that aren't available except with the PC.

Yeah, me too. It seems that outfits got very little attention in this game. Could that be from the premature release date? Or maybe they'll wait so they can fill up the DLC with a "new" world AND outfits? I hope for the latter :)

Well, since being a Greybeard means that you have to agree to shut yourself up on the mountain for the rest of your life and meditate, Bethesda may have thought it wasn't a particularly compelling gameplay option.

Well, what about the
Spoiler
Archmage Robes?

Does that mean I have to agree to sitting alone in my little tower, "running" a school that I have absolutely no control over?

Because I don't find being an Archmage particularly compelling, either.

I believe the Arch-Mage goes on expedition and stuff like that?

I've searched the entire compound of High Hrothgar and it does seem that the Greybeards only have one set of clothes. I find that a little funny

There are ways to get the greybeard robes.
No, they're not "legit" ...

And more bizarrely.... if by whatever means you do manage to get your character wearing the ACTUAL same greybeard robes AS the greybeards.... then nobody actually acknowledges that you're wearing clothes, and act as if you're wondering around naked. It is rather surreal, honestly. That is why I stopped bothering with them.

I prefer wearing the Psijic Robes personally....They're the only robes that don't look unreasonably skinny on a female character.

I know there are ways but I stopped gaming on my PC after I got my PS3. I don't think they thought about people using console command so I guess that's why people say you're naked and stuff. Probably funny for the first five minutes but it would become really annoying after that.

You'd think the Greybeards would wash their attire at some point in time.
They simply shout the dirt and grime from their clothing. ;)

That would probably rip their robes apart :P

The robes ARE their skin.
They are actually naked all the time.
