Greybeard's Robe

Post » Mon Jun 11, 2012 10:29 pm

Worse someone made an skimpy version of the forsworn armor  Yes it's posible, no it's not needed.

I'm still waiting on the skimpy Greybeards robe. ;)

I'm surprised there aren't any robes within the monastery itself. You'd think the Greybeards would wash their attire at some point in time. What do they wear in the meantime?

There is one other who wears a similar robe - a disgraced priest who hired you as a DB assassin.
He is, however, essential.

I want these robes, too.

Do you not see the contradiction in saying "It's not special," and "I want it because of the look?"

And how is it hard for you to believe that only the Greybeards wear these robes? Do you see anyone else in Skyrim wearing them? No? Then no one else wears them.
No, I don't see it. I have certain boots in the game that I like but that don't make them special. Also I said one could find similar robes as well.
I can believe that only the Greybeards wear these robes. But they must have several of them. I can not believe, however, that there isn't any robes that are similar to these robes. Worn down hooded robes isn't exclusive to the Greybeards. Maybe it is in the game but in my opinion that would be rather silly.

Thanks. I tend to read the wiki pages but it's hard to determine if they're complete or not. I will go and try to find the black hooded robes though.

I'm likely older than your parents then. What's wrong with your generation is that they think that everything that makes sense to them must be right, and anything that contradicts their world view should be ignored rather than thought about. Think about your issue here. Is it really an issue, or are you simply trying to make it one? I could say that I should be able to collect bark from the lumber mills and build a pile of it somewhere. I should. Why didn't the designers allow me to collect bark? I can collect bark in real life!

Even if the developers allowed me to collect bark, I'd be able to find something else to complain about. Skyrim is a computer game, and thus you have to learn to work with it's limitations. If you want the freedom to do anything that you can concieve of, play a table top roleplaying game with a very tolerant referee.

Be wary of how you just throw around the phrase, "whats wrong with your generation is", not every person in that generation is the same as the others. Im also 22, and nothing like the gerenation you "implied"....

Id have thought they would have got it right this time out and made it so you could get a copy of anything you see for yourself. Thought maybe the pickpocket perk to steal equipped armor was for doing this, but no just a useless perk.

If he feels that way that's what he feels. I just want to see if people agree with me or not.

The Greybeard robes are indeed a nice set of clothing. Shame we couldn't find Ulfric Stormcloak's pair.

I was thinking about getting Skyrim on PC just to get these unique little things, like hidden marriage options or special apparel.

Unless you created a character with a big grey beard at the start, you aren't in the running :)

What enchantment would they have? They just spend their time in the monastery.

Who says that the Greybeards would have to agree to give the robe? Unless they only use one robe the entire lifetime it makes sense that it would have one or two wardrobes with some spares robes, and that one should be able to steal it if he chose to.
