I guess Bethesda really don`t read or care what people ask f

There is nothing more annoying than [censored] elitists. I am a PC gamer and I have seen Console players wanting what you want and very many PC gamers being obnoxious n00bs who only care for eyecandy.

The ones who have the right to complain about this are the PS3 players. That Bethesda cares little about them is unfortunately a fact. Honestly, we get quite a royal treatment.

Just how am I being elitist? And calm down with the insults.

Edit. Forget it, let's not make it a platform war, just disregard my previous post. I'm outta here before things get ugly.

And if they didn't release the CK, would you still buy it? I certainly wouldn't. That's probably the only reason they even bother to give it to us, because they know if they didn't then they would lose the PC audience completely. But I have a feeling eventually they won't even give us that, probably TES VI, or they'll charge us for it.

Don't be ridiculous. TES has a rich history of modding; they know there'll be blood if they charge for mod creation. But I wouldn't have bought it without mod support; a game like this needs it.

All the improvements we`ve been asking for: 1st person views on horses, better, less bugged Followers, better skill sets, etc, etc...

And what are we getting for 1.5?

Kill Cams for Magic and firing arrows? Do they really think this is what makes Skyrim a success? Ethereal Gloss?

Yes, that`ll make all the difference, Bethesda. Thankyou.

Are there any more things we can request that you`ll totally ignore?

See your quote below on another thread about adding roads to the map. Apply here.
And you said `we` for this?

I`d love to know what makes you think `we` want or are even interested in this.

Not that I don't want some things fixed, it probably was something easy to put into the patch compared to fixing bugged followers etc.... Some of the things "you" want might be in later patches. Relax and wait.

A few years ago I would have agreed with you. Remember when gamesas released "DLC" when they were called plugins? They were completely free, and I specifically remember when companies started charging for extra content and there were truck loads of people making threads saying "Bethesda would never charge for it, they make it for free!" Well, look what happened.

And 1st person horses is substance? Besides, as I and others have said, this was a quick, simple addition. Improved followers is something that will take much, much longer to do.

Blade Watcher is a child angry that he didn't get his favorite toy. Discuss.

A valid point. I remember Howard saying they weren't even sure they were going to have mounts in Skyrim if they couldn't get them to look good, but enough people wanted them so they included it.

Horse Armour isn't the whole world of DLC. It has potential. Plenty of other companies have got it right; look at Shogun 2. DLC is an ambiguous term; it could be a useless aesthetic thing or a legitimate expansion.

Well I was talking about the Morrowind plugins, La Femme armor, Adamantium armor, Fort Firemoth, enchantable arrows, Vivec archery shop. Those I remember being free. But yeah DLC can mean a number of things, full blown expansions I have no problem paying for. Tribunal, Bloodmoon, and SI were all worth the money.

No, I wouldn't buy it, not in it's current vanilla state that is. But the amount of people who mod the game is still a minority, as is the amount of people who won't buy a game if it isn't modable. Off course it's a premium for the marketing & sales department that they support fan made content. There's no sense in denying that. But it still makes no sense whats however stating that PC players get the shaft in this deal.

Please be more exact in why you believe PC players get the shaft here. I might even go along with you if you can represent a valid argument that has any weight to it. (Apart from poor optimization which seems to be an engine issue since it's evident on the consoles as well. And apart from the lack of DX11 (or whatever fx feature) support, which is moot imho because gameplay should imho always outweigh eye candy.) Most issues for PC players can and will be (or already are) fixed, mods ftw.

But I have a feeling eventually they won't even give us that, probably TES VI, or they'll charge us for it.
I strongly strongly disagree that Bethesda would consider ditching the CS for an upcoming game. Fan made content has been a key part of their policy since Morrowind.

Charging for it is a whole other matter. I'm 100% sure the cost of supporting the CS is already represented in the (total) revenues they expect to get from the game. Nothing is for free.

PS3 owners only got Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine for Oblivion. There was so much we never got. We feel very cheated by Beth over the years. I for one would like to see at least one PS3 only piece of content, especially after the Lag episode with Skyrim.

In another direction.... it is well known that many game companies remove or back out of their games certain content to be able to offer that contnent later as DLC content.

The kill-cams "feel" like that may be the case. From the blogs we know "pikes" (spears) were in the game and then removed (presumably for problems), so if the intent was to ship it with the game, but were removed to fix glitches, - I would like those items to be free. If we are getting the ability to build homes or get "large" new quests I would be happy to pay for those.

I never really understood exactly what the problems PS3 owners were having was all about, was it a hardware issue or...?

Anyone care to enlighten me?

Ah nvm, I just googled it. So immense lag/slow down problems?

Those of you on the PC that want first person view on horse put this in your Skyrim.ini under the [Camera] section

fOverShoulderHorseAddY=88.0000
fOverShoulderHorsePosZ=80.0000
fOverShoulderHorsePosX=0.0000

Rest of stuff I don't know about.

Cool! I did not know this. Will try it when i get home. Thanks.

for real though how can you be so childish over something that was accidently revealed. First of all lots of people were really excited about that. No, not me. Would I rather have 1st person horse and werewolf? Yes, in fact its literally #1 on my wishlist for 1.5 and future patches. But did I make a thread about how pissy I am that the leaked info about the next patch didn't mention it? No. I just hope and wait and see and I'll be pissy when they at least make the announcement/tentative patch notes official. Chill out bro

Because an accidental twitter post stating that kill cams for ranged & magic will be coming in patch 1.5 means that all that will be coming with patch 1.5 is kill cams for ranged and magic.

I removed a few posts. Resorting to sarcastic and personal attacks rather kills any posts you have made and shows that you are only here to troll and unable to sustain any valuable discussion. It is a sure way to get a topic closed and gain time away from the forum.

Bethesda certainly do read these forums and take note of everything that is said, however, there is a small vocal gang of members who post the same thing time after time. I see them and roll my eyes, I am sure that others do as well. Constructive, civil, well thought out and presented and helpful posts are good, repetitive, rude and uninformed posts are a waste of time.

Another Blade Watcher QQ thread.

I'm sure they read their forums; I wouldn't blame them if they didn't either, with all the whining and borderline cyberbullying of Todd. Let's face it; you guys can't criticize. You whine and moan like self entitled children. Criticize and praise the game, but god stop moaning so much. It's like a toddler's tantrum.

But I digress. Kill cams for ranges will be pretty epic. Sure, not the best of additions, but still pretty epic. I'm sure it will be bundled with bugfixes and the like. Admit it ; slo mo bullet cam on an arrow is awesome.

Really? I must try this. Thank you! :)

Why bugfixing the game if you can make new shiny stuff? ... the amazing thing is... it works.
Come on, give them a break! Making "new shiny trinkets" probably takes a lot less time than fixing existing things.

Is this .ini tweek any good? Does the camera get all wonky to the point where it gives you motion sickness, or is it stable? ...
Depends on what you call "stable". You're on the back of a horse after all. ;)

Its frankly pretty amazing we get something from the gamejam in a PATCH, not a DLC, and there are complaints . Its a really great precedent seems to me. I hope you guys who hate them get your bloody toggle but I personally like them and updating them like this seems incredibly generous to me and I hope the ungrateful reaction doesn't push the other gamejam stuff into DLC instead.

Was that confirmed? The gamejam stuff is free?

If that's true then you just made my day buddy.

No its not as a whole but the extra killcams being mentioned are something from the gamejam themselves and if in the patch are for free.

"They didn't add the things I wanted most so that must mean they don't care about their real fans!"

okay.

But the fact that they are adding things from game jam to free patches is a good thing, it means we are probably going to get other things they showed us.
