The fact there are not kill cams for magic or bows is pretty astounding. This is just adding in stuff that should have been at release. Also, it is amazing to me that there is not a kill cam toggle.

Those of you on the PC that want first person view on horse put this in your Skyrim.ini under the [Camera] section

fOverShoulderHorseAddY=88.0000
fOverShoulderHorsePosZ=80.0000
fOverShoulderHorsePosX=0.0000

Rest of stuff I don't know about.
I've tried the tweak; it works but... I've never been able to get off the horse. :(

I'd rather see them die from my arrows in first person... oh dear, not arrow kill cams, please!

I'm happy to see killcams for ranged and magic, I've been missing them since I started my ranger and am glad I may have them next update. It's good to see that they're implementing Game Jam stuff in patches, maybe we'll see more later (I'd love to see spears show up :drool:)

Hopefully SKSE and Script Dragon can update soon after the upcoming update, I don't play without those.

I didnt care for melee kill cams... yet theyre forced upon the player.

If Fallout NV had no toggle for those slow motion shots.... people would have been furious. WHY THE HELL DO PEOPLE JUST ACCEPT THIS FORCED GIMMICKY CRAP?

It does nothing at all for gameplay... Surely I cant be the only one who's bored of seeing my 1000'th wolf get bodyslammed?

SURELY I CANT BE THE ONLY ONE!

You are not.

Honestly who gives a crap about 1st person view on horses? Horses svck as it is

But it would be better than the kill cams. And if not that what about the myriad of other stuff such as spell making, or spears, or the other good stuff in the jam. I didn`t mind Finishers at first, but I didn`t think that meant they`d shovel more on us otherwise I wouldn`t have said. I mean they shovel easy crap, but not stuff that would REALLy affect the game world and truly add to the adventure.

And this is their main boast of 1.5- Kill cams.

Whoopeee. Not.

It better be toggleable because it`ll ruin my archery if I can`t just shoot and move on. But will Beth listen?

I would like to be able to use the stores of quest givers. I don't want to join the thieve's guild, or find the captured son of that lady in Whiterun. But I can't use either ones store until I do their quests. More an annoyance than a problem. I also hope for a kill cam toggle to turn it off, as I don't care for it.

That's weird. Never had that happen to me. Are you using a modded horse?

Oops. Burnout forgot about 6 or 7 lines to add. Read post #18 again. My bad. :D

^haters gonna hate^

Yes, That's a very helpful & constructive reply & not flamebait at all, Oh no.

I just read GStaff's reply & now feel positive that spellmaking may find it's way back if people make enough noise, just like Broken Steel did, if It worked for Fallout 3 then it's worth a shot with Skyrim :dry:

Kill cam scenes for arrow kills does not excite me in the least. I've often sniped enemies with the intent of creating an epic kill, ie a body tumbling of the top of a high wall, or into a waterfall to be swept away. I also like staggering enemies back onto a trap so that they are killed by their own devices! If there was a kill switch for the kill cam animations I'd use it immediately.

Don't get me wrong, the kil cams were fun for a while, but they soon got old. And if my character is biting it via the kill-cam when I'm being one hit by something, it's always a WTF moment, because I often have no idea why? Not to mention, how it was even possible.....

nope, spellmaking will never be back, at least in TES V. If it will, it will be totally game breaking so hopefully it won't.

I don't know anything about bethesdas inner workings, but from my experience with a different company, the bug-fixing/current-feature-modifying developers and the new-feature-adding developers are likely completely different teams. Just because one team worked on kill cams doesn't mean another team isnt working on bug fixes and other requests.
since "todd" apparently says that the developers are responsible for fixing their own bugs, I suspect that there is NOT a serarate bug fixing group

Exactly. If they're going to add new killcams, they're likely to add other new features (in addition to the fixes). I wouldn't gripe about it.

I do love that most companies don't do anything with single-player games after they're released, much less add free content. Yet if Bethesda doesn't release the free content you wanted most, it's because they don't care about the players.

To me, there's a distinct difference between an unfinished game and an underdeveloped one. Then again, that's just me. But that particular discussion is for another thread at another time.

The very nature of open world sandbox games makes QA very difficult, I imagine. Since players have so many options, the game can be in states no one would ever think of, even the QA team. Bugs are bound to slip through, and I'm much more forgiving of them than bugs on a game where you're railroaded along instead.

I am confused at the OP. MANY people have asked for kill cams for Magic and Archery. Therefor it would seem that Bethesda does listen and are giving us a little bit of what we want.

Baby Argonian and baby Khajiit ftw :cool:

If baby Khajit were in the game we would never get any questing done, be too busy playing with the kittens. :biggrin:

Kill cams are all well and good but I do hope there are a raft of essential fixes more than added features, a new kill animation won't make me pick up the game again or buy DLC. Fixing broken quests and glitches with items, a more stable framerate fix on the PS3, that sort of thing will, probably.

You're not alone. I was soooo sick of this in Fall Out. It seemes every kill shot had slow motion and it lasted forever until the rag doll physics let the body settle. Then I found I could turn it off. :blush:

I thought I was going to hate the kill-cam to no end, but it's not nearly as prevalent or annoying as expected. :shrug:

I agree. Coming from AoC I felt killcams were going to be a huge gimmick. Instead it turns out that after fighting 5 guys with my 2hd sword nothing is more satisfying then lopping the head of the 6th one off as a exclamation point to the fight. I've come to enjoy them and enjoyed it thoroughly when I body slammed my 1000th wolf.

I think the bigger problem is a few people feel as if they talk for the community as a whole instead of realizing they are just one voice. Ive heard/seen many demands for magic and archery killcams, and it looks like Bethesda listened and are giving it to us for free.

I particularly enjoyed the fireworks display and the song that accompanies the 1000th wolf-bodyslam.

You got fireworks and a song? All I got was a half naked Dark Elf who ran out of the woods with a sparkler shouting "Yay you are lucky number 1000!" Then stuck his sparkler in the wolf and took off.
