When you're married and sleep in your marital bed you get the 'Lovers Embrace' perk, I suppose that could be seen as having six, just leave the rest to your imagination.

I just got my female Nord 'Lovingly embraced' by Ysolda..... giggity.

If you want nudity or six, either find those things in other ways with your computer, OR just add the inevitable mods to the game.

However, I do not want to see it out there for the casual gamer.

Remember, it's not the 30-40 year old gamer that we're "worried" about. It's the impressionable 13-year-old that probably shouldn't be playing the game, but we all know he/she is. It's not the downfall of civilization, but it is the proper course for a professional organization (Bethesda) that most likely employs a lot of lawyers and knows that not all publicity is good publicity.

Bah, I'm female and I really don't care. When I played Witcher I made sure to collect all the six cards I could. I also used the Natural Bodies and Extended six Scene mods in Dragon Age for some hardcoe lulz.

I understand TES is a little different from most RP games in terms of being more sandboxy, but there's enough advlt content (torture, murder, death, allusions to [censored] [see Sapphire in TG], cannibalism, you name it) that the lack of protagonist six seems a bit odd, really. It's not like we need to see it happening - it could be handled as it is in the Fallout games.

They could just state that there is nudity and scenes of a sixual nature and then it's up to the parents to decide whether their child can have the game. I'm sick of games bring less than what they could be because of over-sensitive parents and critics.

I have wondered why Haelga doesn't make a pass at the Dovahkiin.

Would be a cool option for female characters to earn a blessing of Dibella for themselves by distributing the mark of Dibella. (perhaps as an alternative to the Mara questline.) No nudity or explicit six would have to be involved, just sleep in the same bed like you do with your spouse.

Great idea in theory, but if they had done that, Skyrim would have ended up with an AO (advlts Only) rating instead of M (Mature), and most retailers would refuse to even sell it, mainly out of worry that those over-sensitive parents and critics and their incessant whining would hurt business.

I'm female.... I'm not a prude. I wouldn't care if Beth had included six in the game. Don't want it myself, but I can't see any reason for those who DO want it not to have it (other than as stated by Esrafael and others....) I do rather get a chuckle out of the stereotypical statements in re women, games, and the 'net though...

But it's not nudity, it's animated nudity. Which does nothing for me, not really sure why people want this so bad.

I see an issue with player character treatment, rather than anything else. While there are some relations between NPC, main protagonist's gender doesn't matter for anyone at all. It's completely out of place and makes me think, if there is some sort of taboo among people in Skyrim regarding Dragonborn.

Haelga should react properly, if player character is a male (people don't create ugly characters anyway). I'm not talking about a six scene here, even a suggestive comment would be enough, not "This is an inn for working men, get the hell out of here". It's unbeliavable, immersion breaing and role-play unfriendly.

Their minds are just as dirty as ours, lads...
Not quite and not as universal. :P Most porm is geared towards men and there are far more female prosttutes and strip joints with dancing women than men. I'm not going to argue back and forth about this because I'm sure this post and/or thread will be reported, edited, and locked very soon.

I don't think it's a case of not wanting to offend people. The fact is that Skyrim is a fantasy game, and focuses on things that you can't realistically do in real life, from dragon slaying to mass murder. People can however go out to a bar or club, and... well, you get the picture. I don't want to play real life.

Again, I'd like to point out that DA:O manages to have six between consenting advlts both straight and gay without either showing nudity, or explicit scenes, without the characters involved being married, and somehow manages an ESRB rating of M.

If it had been a priority for Beth I'm sure they could have managed it. (As it is marriage is kind of silly. My big-muscled companion husband who followed me through tons of adventures now has dialogue that mostly consists of being worried that I'm going out without having had a good meal? I guess the Temple of Mara's ceremony includes a lobotomy....)

He's just a very sensitive boy. :P

As best as I can tell the marriage in Skyrim is meant to be a quasi-income and an enhanced Well Rested bonus.

I think six should be included in the game, but you are only allowed to do it with Maiq The Liar while he repeatedly asks you why you would want to see Maiq naked, sick sick people.

Brilliant! I can see it now.
M'aiq the Liar: "...but, Baby, I love you like no other and I think it's time to express our love physically."

or "You're the best I've ever had."

Seeing as marriage is decried as a waste of time which could have gone to buff up other areas, half-hearted attempts at graphical six is would also a waste of time.

DAO's vanilla "six" scenes are complete cheese whiz. I hope they don't "manage" anything like it.

The Witcher's six scenes are cheesy, too. Face it, jerky pixel animation plus a voice actor making love to the microphone in a sound booth is not even remotely hot or touching or anything else a love scene should be. Leave it to the imagination. Please, by the Nine.

Mass Effect has an option where you brutally murder aliens and humans alike through renegade cut scenes. In Dragon Age, we have the Brood Mother, arguably the most disgusting boss ever conceived in Video Game history with a creation story that's equally, if not even more disgusting.

Both games have six scenes. Obviously censored but that's to be expected. Fallout New Vegas has similar scenes like that and that game has decapitation along with limb mutilation. All three games are rated "M".

So...yeah.

My best guess is that they don't want to offend/alienate prospective female players.

Both of them?

I think there's probably more than 2 women playing/buying the game.

Why aren't video games more like movies in this regard? I'm a grown up. I spend my money on what pleases me. If I want to spend my money on a movie that shows nudity and advlt situations that's my perogative. Why shouldn't video games be the same? There is an untapped potential here: It is possible with games, unlike movies, to have mature content restricted for younger audiences but available for advlt ones.

There are AO games, but they won't play on Region 1 PS3s. <_<
