Haelga gave me blue balls

I don't care about overtly sixual imagery in a video game. My issue with the marriage aspect is that it's just blah. Once your married the only thing left to do is ask how much money the store's made. There's a complete lack of anything resembling interesting interaction. A series of sub-quests one would have to do in order to keep their spouse happy would have been novel. But then again, there are no requirements for maintaining your responsibilities as the leader of any guild either. I think that was an obvious miss on the part of Bethesda.

At any rate, if I want six scenes, there are better places to vid them than a video game.

Well, I'd just like to state that as a woman, I find six fun not to go into any further detail. I always have and probably always will (keep FIRMLY in mind that I'm an older woman.... going on 65....) Now, I personally do not find it necessary for games to have a "sixual component" (the way they have a "battle component" for instance) - but it wouldn't stop me from buying a game at all. The games I've been annoyed with were ones where a sixual relationship was all but forced on one. And as far as the "in game marriage" stuff goes - I've been married three times. My current marriage is 36 years and counting. It WILL be my last one. I don't WANT a pixel marriage in a game I play to get AWAY from RL - but at least Beth has the sense to make it voluntary....

And yes.... I do enjoy porm on occasion. I'm nothing if not flexible. No matter the youngun's viewpoint of older people.

Speaking as a guy, I really dont see any need for six scenes. Fallout 1 and 2 and Baldur's Gate 2 had "implied" six. You talked about it and then, *fade to black and wake up later* Don't recall anybody ever asking for more in those games. Maybe people were more inhibited way back then. In fact, I think the BG2 romances were very well done.

You know, I actually think Bethesda handled the marriage aspect as well as they could. This game is a study in wasted opportunities in many regards... Lycanthropy, for example. Marriage, on the other hand, couldn't be more in depth without offending somebody. As it stands, it's a role playing device and a place holder for mods.

Oh, yeah, that's exactly what I want. More information about what exactly my character gets up to with an elderly beggar. Could we have lice, too, please?

Unless it's a game like Mass Effect where at least some effort is put into character design, more specific info about what the characters do with each other seems misplaced.

Heh. I'm always at some point (and this is that point apparently) reminded of the actual etymology of "nit-picking".... And I quite agree - it's not at all anything I find necessary in a game.

Oh, trolls.

Also, you're a Stormcloak. That explains your tendency for barbaric and carnal instincts.

Look how marriage turned out. It was a poorly done gimmick. Look how six is implemented in the other games myk_h mentioned; it's so corny it's unbelievable.

If you want some 'alone time', there's plenty of sites out there.
This, this, and more this.

All It would be is incredibly offensive adolescent boy pandering, and it isn't like Bethesda at all.

It's not about the rating of the game, either. It's the fact that Bethesda games aren't made to be superficial and silly like Dragon Age, etc.

And if they're gonna allow six in skyrim, at least allow same-six couples to have six too.

I'd rather they added...hmm how to put it, gameplay related content that something like six in the game. I guess I can see some people want it, but once you get out of your mom's basemant you'll find real six is much better...

I think the reason is because of their advlt/nudity content policy. Read the pinned post.

And also because probably this is a game! If you want to have six go find a real life partner!

I have a real life partner. She works nights, I work days... we have four kids... Yeah. Sometimes a guy needs other outlets for his energies.

I can only imagine the horror six would be with animations we are used to see in Bethesda games.
1. Move limb
2. Pause
3. Teleport a few inches
4. Move another limb
5. CTD

All of this makes me imagine meeting M'aiq, who seems to be looking towards Riften:

"Haelga has asked if I have experienced a cat with nine tails. I said no. M'aiq finds the one tail quite sufficient, as should she."

We understand the policy - we're questioning the logic.

Honestly all it would be is music and a still picture of you bedroom door. If you absolutly need this, remember the internet was originally made for
P O R N.

It fits in gta but this is an RPG. Roleplay what happens in the bedroom if you must.

Well, not everyone's wife/husband/significant other is into 'weird' stuff. Others may not want to deal with the aftermath complications that arise from role play and other 'acts'. Plus, some people may not want to awaken urges in themselves that arise from trying certain 'new things'. :P

Considering the small amount of children in the game, and that they all seem to be of the same age, I think the gods have cursed Skyrim, and that they are no longer er, capable. Could explain all the violence, too, as an -- outlet.

I'm going to guess that what he meant was not 'roleplay the act in real life' but 'roleplay the act in-game.'

For the record, I'm not agreeing with him. I absolutely disagree with every word in his post.

I always attribute that to devs trying to avoid the situation of teen-aged girls and all that implies with RL pr0n/fetishes. Take Fable II for example: there are children (appear to be in the 6-7 year old range) and advlts. There was one teen-aged girl, but she was in a quest and the interaction was strictly scripted - after the one meeting in the quest she was gone. :P

Oh, yeah, they do. They make plenty of AO games that don't play on Region 1 consoles. I'm pretty sure there are "Japanese" PS3s all over eBay selling for thousands.

In Sims you can woo with your neighbors, your spouse and everyone else. In Skyrim all you can do is murder people, yet this game is suppose to be RPG. Is that all you can do in skyrim? To slaughter and kill people? WOW all of those finish movers where you decapitate someones head, yet when it comes down to six people are afraid. Such bigotry.

Is not about turning Skyrim into a giant size porm game. It's about adding emotions.... to add in romance and potentially getting your wife pregnant and start a family of your own. Whats wrong with that? Not everyone wants to go around slaughtering people for the hell of it.

Welcome to reality... People have six all the time.
