Prior to the patch I would freeze once or twice an hour and the lag would kick in after about three hours of play in one sitting. My save file was around 13 MB with ~186 hours played
Post patch, my save file dropped to 12 MB. I played for about eight consecutive hours with no freezes. A couple of hours in, I turned all of the auto saves back on just to see how that works, and, while the loading screens were considerably longer than with the auto saves turned off, they were generally under 30 seconds long.
I experienced lag once when I used the fire breath shout outside on a frostbite spider. I tried shouting several other times with no discernable lag.
All my bookshelves, mannequins, and weapon racks appear to be working now.
I had two glitches:
- All my bookshelves in Breezehome were completely filled. When I opened them, it said I could add several more books to each shelf. I emptied them and started placing the books back. By the time I'd placed all the books in my inventory, I had filled only the shelves in the alchemy room and placed 2 books on the shelves in the main room, so I lost 30+ books.
- If I place any weapons on either the far right or left slot in the weapon rack in the basemant of Proudspire Manor, I can't go back and pick them up. I'm pretty sure I read someone else had the same issue.
While not so much a glitch, I did notice shadows popping in and out in the woods around Riften.
Otherwise, play has been great other than known issues like the instruments stuck in my inventory.
But you know what? After shelving the game for the past month waiting for this patch, I'm not in the least bit excited to play it anymore. Good effort on the patch but too late.
