Did you follow the tips in the sticky up top?
Yep. Restarted my PS3, let the game sit for a few minutes post-patch, did a "wait", etc. No dice. My HD has 15GB free. If that's not enough, then they need to update their system requirements. Long story short, my game seems FUBAR'd now.
On a related note:
-They need to consolidate their tips into one sticky. "PS3 Tips to Try" and "Important Information on Patch 1.4" should be a single post.
-They need to put this info in a patch install note within the actual game. Expecting console players to find this forum for those notes that basically say "oh yeah, the patch won't actually work until after you do XXXXXX" isn't really appropriate and is setting them up for even more frustrated gamers. Bethesda is treating consoles like they're PCs. I'm used to it since I am a PC gamer (though I'd argue that PC gamers just put up with this stuff, rather than it actually being acceptable), but most console gamers won't ever see this forum. Why isn't this stuff in an "Announcements" section within the game? And if the game needs a certain amount of free HD space to run efficiently, they need to reflect that in the system requirements.
Yeah, I know they're trying and all, but we held up our end of the bargain when we paid them. They need to work on their logistics and communication bigtime (and yeah, better QA, but that's a dead horse). I remember struggling with Bethesda with games like Daggerfall on PC. It was frustrating then, but to treat consoles the same way is pretty indefensible. It's not ok.
