Interesting, well I for one prefer vampires to vampire hunters, I have always been attracted to things that are of the unknown or different.
That being said I don't see either side as being "good" or "bad" myself, each side is doing what they believe to be best for their people or race, and really since most of us will be one or the other we can not really say who is doing right or wrong here since we would be biased on the side we pick, that leads only the outside characters who is for either or to give a none biased opioion on who they believe is right or wrong.
For example: My vampire character would see her race as being in the right due to having to feed to even stay alive, who is to say they don't feel horrible after doing such a thing as draining a person till they are dead or once in a while accidently or willingly turning a person to be like that, but it doesn't mean they don't want to slip into a everlasting coma which can be worse then death or dying at the hands of the Dawnguard.
They need to feed to live and you got to get even bottled blood somewhere.
I can also see the point of the Dawnguard, they want to protect their race/clansmen so that they don't become what they believe to be evil and wrong or to die at their hands, thus they hunt them for survival and maybe sport, who is to say they don't feel compassion for having to kill them, just like everyday soldier's irl I am sure if not more than half of them feel bad for having to kill civilians in time of war or even what is considered the enemy.
Everyone has to kill to live basically.
Kill or be killed as they always say.
Dragonborn or not you either make a choice of who you want to be with or stay on the sidelines while it goes on *aka don't do the DLC*
