How to be a moderator?

Post » Wed May 02, 2012 10:20 pm

If we don't get a brony as a moderator, someone has to join the herd. Hey, Rogugh, what about you? :deal:
Only if you can spell my name correctly. :) I am in the pony Skype group - when I remember to log in, does that count?

Oh, sorry, I'm a bit distracted, because I'm trying to get into the diablo beta. And you just reminded me to check out the pony Skype group. I wonder do you understand the pony stuff that is going on there?

Rohugh, thanks

greenwarden, what, they didn't leave a note like they did with the mystery forumer? and thanks

princess_stomper, eh, oops, it, hm, didn't cross my mind

Umrahel, eh, it was for easier digestion and because making a whole new topic seemed unnecessary. :ermm:

Xalxitz, thanks

i was actually worried it lacked in dialogue and description... did it? and i am realizing that it would have been hard to see such details of the complex at such a late hour of the day, so can we just, you know, pretend that he actually wakes up, say, sometime before it got dark.

never mind, i found a way to reconcile the timing and all that. and edited the story for those pesky mistakes that turned a cat into a car and such. and added some more description.

I think you need a non-nuanced personality with a need to be a [censored].

That's my personal experience of it atleast.

It's rather simple actually. You simply need to be touched by Sheogorath.

But Sheogorath is a perv, so you have to be careful where he touches you. He's manic depressive.

It's very simple, actually:

1. Kill the Lobotomite
2. Become the Dragon Slayer
3. Meet an Albinodunmer
4. Stomp on a princess
5. Enjoy a Summer day
6. Verify you are human

And that's that.

Maybe I can sacrifice a fellow forum member to attain modhood?

That sounds like a plan. I'll just get EvilFish drunk and tell him we're going to "play some miniature golf." ;)

This is the reason why I have a 2 foot crowbar, a 24 ounce hammer and a stickin' knife on the table next to my door. People don't seem to believe me when I say they are there to protect my head juices from forum-goers trying to get a banhammer. :toughninja:

Seeing as their Fortress of Doom suburban basemant is nigh impregnable, I recommend obtaining a sample during one of their monthly walks.

I thought that said monthly [censored]. I am glad I took a second look.

Well atleast Hungry Donner's title is somewhat pony'ish.
The Pollisand is a wisecracking godlike being who manifests next to people responsible for catastrophic acts of stupidity. He then interrogates them in an attempt to understand why they knowingly mad such bad choices.

Personally I think we should replace the green "moderator" tag under our names with "Pollisand." :hehe:

What kind of example? That Norwegians can become moderators despite the fact that there already is a swedish one?
That if you have an awesome avatar, you get free forum ranks? That you get banned for asking too many questions?
When we added our third Dutch mod I joked our next one would have to be Swedish in order to restore balance to our group. Maybe we could fudge that a bit with a Norwegian. Or would that just be insulting for both nationalities?

Apparently I didn't notice some of the tomfoolery from April 1st. Man, I feel like I've spent the last month walking around with toilet paper stuck to my shoe.

You sure you're not confusing him with Crassius Curio? There's nothing inherently pervy about being manic depressive, but there's everything inherently pervy about Uncle Crassius.

It helps to be helpful on the forums in whatever way that might be (tech help, info, and so forth) without coming off as a troglodyte among other things. And arguably that as a moderator one should be expected to be relatively unbiased on the surface at least without being seen as favoring one party over another and what have you.

Reading every post, not having any strong opinions on most everything and the will to proceed with power that isn't justifiably yours.

The moderators' hilarious responses make this a +10 thread. I was going to quote a bunch of the funny ones and respond, but they are too many!

There's a Skype group for these boards??? (Can I please be in?)
