How old is the average New Vegas enthusiast?

23.

Surprised how young some of you are but then again, I was playing games like Resident Evil and watching every horror movie known to man from an early age so I'm not one to talk.

im amazed at the amount of 14 and 15 year olds. just saying. its unexpected lol

Wow, I guess I really do need to watch the language I use on the forums instead of letting the language skills Uncle Sam taught me slip in. I'm just under 30, and you guys are making me feel old! I hope you all realize that now when I see or hear something especially graphic or sixual in Fallout 3 or New Vegas I'm going to get embarrassed thinking of all the 14 year olds seeing the same thing, so thanks a lot! :nono:

Just kidding, but it is a big surprise.

If we play Fallout 3, and you find cussing in the forum an issue.... are you sure about that my friend?

What worries me is the number of people that voted 13-17 because they are even younger then that 0-12 and it was the closest to their age. Well as long as their parents/guardians think they are mature enough to play an M-rated game. Still I hope there's not that many if any.

Same here, the first PS1 game I got back on X-Mas 98' was Resident Evil Director's Cut (I was 6 at the time). Although I've always been a lot more mature for my age. (Also my parents are both huge horror movie fans so I've been watching those since forever.) :tops:

Haha. I was a Marine, I don't generally find cursing an issue anywhere. "Live like soldiers, talk like sailors" after all. But I tend not to make a habit out cursing in front of children. I know it isn't going to do anything bad to them, it just makes me uncomfortable.

The 13-17 catagory just keeps getting bigger lol.

Just goes to show how hilariously ineffective and pointless ESRB ratings have always been, and continue to be.

Meh... I've played M games since I was around 9. I had my fair share of defiance issues back then, but they didn't stem from video games.

Most people think I'm crazy when I say this but I can't wait until my hair gets gray.

As long as too much of it doesn't start falling off, I am ready for my life as a silver fox.

That's because you learned the most important lesson our Marine Corps can teach: Leadership. We lead by example long after we lead our marines.

It's a medically proven fact that men get better looking as they age. Look it up.

Started playing rated M games at 10 IIRC, but that was only because most games that are rated below M have horrible stories and gameplay. There are exceptions of course, but on average rated M games are more mature(not talking about "LOLOLOLOL BLOOD GUTS six VIOLANCE DRUGS FTW"). There are mature rated T games as well, KotOR II for example.

Old (enough) chaps like us - I fit in the same agegap as you - don't have any interest in such things, right? Educational value and so forth. :P

I am a monk, and have just come out of seclusion, one sip of Buckfast and I found myself in this den of vice... All I can say is we need to understand evil vices to ward them off.

Hey now, I'm 14 and I want this game because of the story!

FalloutFTW you are an example of what the modern generation should be, narrative is a lost art.

Edit: Damn... Sorry Francis I just realised this could be considered mean, so I took it down.

Will editing the poll options change the current votes? I'll change them if it keeps the data accurate.

Well you know, as long as the child that plays can decipher the difference between a game and real life, he is A-ok in my opinion. For others, I really wanna punch people that think joining the military will be as easy as Call of Duty. Oh what that game has done to some kids.
