Introducing Kinect Support for 360 #2

Post » Tue Jun 12, 2012 8:56 pm

I understand the hate and the whole "kinect is a gimmick" thing. But maybe you should give it a chance...

currently there isnt really any great games for it, because the developers have only had it for a year, its a new medium in the main stream gamiong industry, sure ps2 had something similar, but sony never marketed the way its marketing move currently.

I've seen early interviews with developers and read articles talking about the kinect at release, they quoted "in two years we'll get the good games"

Crytek is maing a cool roman swordman game, we have Fable Journeys.. well.. never mmind that one :P

To be fair, i barely use my kinect, the games ive played aren't amazing, child of eden was pretty cool. Not 60 CDN worth. Mass effect, it waorks great.

I wanted this feature yesterday for Skyrim.\

the main line is..
The quality of the DLC will not be affected by this patch, so sit down, take you panties, un knot them, and put them back on, and run in the feilds in your skirts, to get the nice summer breeze feeling between you thighs!!

This is still a slap in the face too anybody who has had problems with Bugs in Skyrim. I really wonder where Beth's priorites lie, with Microsoft or the consumers who give them their money.

So if the guy that worked on this Kinect project didn't have anything to do with fixing bugs, should Bethesda have held off on distributing his completed project until the bugs were relatively all squashed?

The only concern I have is why did they not just add a toggle to the menu that allows you to use voice command using your head phones? Tom Clancy:End War DId this VERY good....

Post release support has been comical at best thus far. Get a grip Beth.

Your comment is what's comical. They've released several patches since release and kept us updated on what was coming in those patches.

i didn't realize that, but, i think we can guess the answers to that question. and, i think they're absolutely legitimate answers for any business.

however, i will say that i like voice with no piece of equipment much better than with.

Yes most certainly, Atomic Nirnroot and other issues should be fixed before Beth goes causal with the Kinect Announcement. The fact that they haven't and modders have already fixed most of the problems is certainly a slap in the face to fans that experienced bug problems. I was lucky when Playing Skyrim but I also didn't do a lot of stuff that had questlines that were bugged such as The Thieves Guild, Companions, or the bloated Memory size file issue.

its because Bethesda will not create new software for this. Kinect has the software already. Its easier to implement. Would you rather them take programmers to make new software, or work on bugs..\

thyats it in a nuthsell

"Bethesda Game Studios has been hard at work on creating the first set of game add-ons that will be exclusive to the Xbox 360. This additional content will add new quests, locations, features, and much more to the world of Skyrim. Stay tuned for more details."

Well it is still unclear wether it is totally exclusive to the xbox or just the 30day xbox exclusive as was mentioned a while back.

Nope, Microsoft bribes Bethesda to piss off a good chunk of its customer base. Big difference.

I'm pretty sure it's safe to assume Bethesda actually started working on DLC/Add-on stuff before Skyrim even shipped. Maybe quite a long time before, if you consider concepting, and such. Hell, in that case, I'm pretty sure they've even started the earliest of early work on TES VI. That's just how gaming as a business has to work nowadays. There's no "WE FINISHED OUR GAME NOW LETS TAKE A SOOPER LONG VACATION LOLZ", no rest for the wicked I'd say if it wasn't so cliche.

The ambiguity is intentional, I don't doubt. The odds of it being the 30 day "exclusive" are approximately 3,720:1. Runs out to buy an XBox

"Verbal Hotkeys", sorting stuff using your voice and commanding followers seems to be very usefull to me! Shouting using Kinect in Skyrim is a nice gimmick, but the other features are quite usefull. If they will work properly...

I got a new xbox with kinect for xmas and never use the kinect but I am looking froward to the verbal hot keys and the auto save. Shouts i doubt I will use.

Not worried about the cops rather then mis-pronouncing the shouts and sending my self sprinting off a cliff instead of freezing and enemy, lol.
