Let me guess everyone will be going into Dawnguard with STUC

Post » Sat Jun 23, 2012 3:06 am

I'm guessing people have been playing the same character since release? In my most recent character all the items you mentioned get removed upon quest completion and I've learned not grab quest items unless I'm on the quest.

Problem is, there are quest items that are not obviously quest items until after you pick them up. Like the books for the Orc in Winterhold. I shouldn't have to log online to see if a book I found is actually a quest item so I don't pick it up.

We wouldn't have to recycle these complaints if Bethesda actually fixed the problems.

Yeah because threads like this is sure to get there attention..

I find it such a horrible way to enter an expansion.

Since EVERYONE is experiencing these stuck Quest items like Attunement Spheres (2), Gallus's Encoded Journal, Strange Amulet, Finn's Lute, Rjorn's Drum, Runed Lexicon.

How do you guys feel about it? I know they weigh nothing at all, but the fact that they take up and clutter the inventory.
As well as Misc quests that are impossible to disappear. It's sad to dwell into another great expansion and bring along the bugs with it.

Will I be able to sell these off to an NPC? Then perhaps I can buy it back off him for free. That NPC can never die and it will at least remove the clutter from the inventory.

Stuck Misc Quests, we should be able to cancel them and remove it entirely. Misc Quests don't get mentioned in the backlog just their count. And I would be happy enough for Skald to give me my bloody gold. Already that misc quest is stacking... not to mention the Find Pantea's Flute when I bloody gave it to her already...

TL;DR: I do not want to go to Dawnguard with buggy and annoying things. Especially when EVERYONE playing is experiencing this problem and goes unnoticed.

Wow........umm :cookie:

I don't see him whining, I see him stating a sad, dangerous and true problem in the world. I worked at Bank of America for 21 years, always got good to above average employee reviews, and never did anything to warrant being laid off, but guess what happened. And why? Because Bank of America realized they could hire two east Indians, who were less experienced and didn't have my skill set, for less than they were paying me. Why do you think you have to speak to people who can barely speak English nowadays when you call for support from many companies? It's because we aren't demanding the same kind of service we used to get. We've allowed companies to save money at OUR expense and haven't punished them enough for that decision. It is not a practice that we, as consumers, should encourage because ultimately, you will be the one who suffers one way or another.

Yeah because threads like this is sure to get there attention..

The more threads like this flooding their boards the more it is bound to get attention. We've done it before on the Bioware forums. They had an illogical ending with plot holes. We simply as a community acted as a unit. We sent them cupcakes of Red, Blue, and Green. We got their attention. If these bugs are still present by the time they stop supporting it, then there will be more to go on than just cupcakes... fans have power. We can choose not to buy the developers products, we have the power to voice our opinions and be heard. We complain because we care.

Quoted for the greatness of the post. It is absolutely true.
Yeah.....that was a really well written post and I agree. Kudos REL. Getting back to the main topic though, I've been hearing that Dawnguard isn't very buggy at all, something that surprised testers a lot haha. Hopefully my sources aren't lying to me, but it was refreshing to hear.

Core game is still buggy as hell. Cannot activate Wolf Queen Awakening Quest at level 81, Amulet of Talos stuck in inventory and stuck misc quest if you looted the guy's body after the beheading, stuck quest items, stuck misc quests.

I wish I can just delete these quests and items.

Well, if they can't fix their products, maybe they should be in a different business.
Gaming is a buisness, it would take too much time money and effort to fix alo the bugs. They have no incentive to make everything just perfect for you, they have added alot of free content and yet you claim they are not good at there jobs because every little bug is not fixed. You make a bug free game as big as Skyrim and then you can talk.
