Let me guess everyone will be going into Dawnguard with STUC

Post » Fri Jun 22, 2012 11:24 am

I find it such a horrible way to enter an expansion.

Since EVERYONE is experiencing these stuck Quest items like Attunement Spheres (2), Gallus's Encoded Journal, Strange Amulet, Finn's Lute, Rjorn's Drum, Runed Lexicon.

How do you guys feel about it? I know they weigh nothing at all, but the fact that they take up and clutter the inventory.
As well as Misc quests that are impossible to disappear. It's sad to dwell into another great expansion and bring along the bugs with it.

Will I be able to sell these off to an NPC? Then perhaps I can buy it back off him for free. That NPC can never die and it will at least remove the clutter from the inventory.

Stuck Misc Quests, we should be able to cancel them and remove it entirely. Misc Quests don't get mentioned in the backlog just their count. And I would be happy enough for Skald to give me my bloody gold. Already that misc quest is stacking... not to mention the Find Pantea's Flute when I bloody gave it to her already...

TL;DR: I do not want to go to Dawnguard with buggy and annoying things. Especially when EVERYONE playing is experiencing this problem and goes unnoticed.

I wish people would stop complaining and just see what Beth does. All you're doing by posting about these things OVER AND OVER is wasting your time.
If they're gonna fix it, they're gonna fix it. Moaning about it every other topic isn't going to make them do it any faster.

The beta testers have told us that Dawnguard is very Stable in terms of bugs.

I agree with the OP. I doubt very seriously we'll get another patch this soon after the last, but I do hope they continue to release fixes both big and small.

And for those of you who don't like topics where people are complaining I would like to point out two things..

1) You don't have to click on the thread topic if it doesn't interest you.
2) If no one ever complained, Bethesda wouldn't know what was broken and what mattered to the people buying their games.

Shows over guys. This one guy didn't see too many bugs, that means none of us know what we are talking about. All these bugs are just in our imaginations because we just like to complain. Game breaking bugs, bugs that obstruct completions of quests isn't a big deal since he didn't experience it.

I have the first two, but it has not bothered me yet, as long as it's playable I am happy.

I've had zero bugs since the game came out. Call me selfish, but I'd rather have the DLC than bug fixes for people I don't know.

Well im playing on the Xbox 360, i figured if i dont encounter many bugs others wouldent either, and pc players have the unoffical patches to fix bugs.

It's just yet ANOTHER thread recycling the same stuff, just using the DLC as an excuse to rinse and repeat.

I'd say this mentality is the reason the game industry is horrid. People don't want bug properly functioning games, they just want DLC. Who cares about the people who paid $60.

It would be nice to get rid of them regardless of whether we buy Dawnguard or not.

I do not care to do the thieves guild quest for the stones. I should be able to sell them to one of the members and move on with my Mage. I always pick them up because the item should be available for any character to use, not just the thieves. Plus the stone itself hovers, which would make it great for a College sidequest.

I agree with the OP.

We wouldn't have to recycle these complaints if Bethesda actually fixed the problems.

You could always start a new toon so that you can get a fresh feel for it. This way you can do a little research and find ways of avoiding those bugs, I myself have experienced all of the above when it come to bugs, stretched across 10 different toons and I learned what to avoid or what to do in order to rid myself of such stuck items and quests.

Yeah, it's so frustrating I think the government should close down Bethesda before release.

I have encounter a handful of bugs. I always read the patch updates to see what was fixed. I have yet to have 99% of them, yet I am glad to see they have been fixed. Just because you don't encounter the bugs, doesn't mean others aren't. I'd much rather get both bugs fixes and DLC, since I have already paid for Skyrim. DLC will have bugs at some point.

btw very selfish

He never had any problems with the game so why he should care about bug fixes when he could be getting extra content. You may have had bad problems but that is your experience and not his.

Ok guys.. no more complaining, it annoys people who either say they haven't experienced bugs, or have just decided to live with them because they haven't run into a game stopper yet.

Bethesda is synonymous with the word BUG. That's fine as long as they are going to fix the bugs, but to those who get tired of hearing the complaints, tough. Don't click on a thread topic if you aren't interested in the subject. The game is far from polished and I still can't continue the Civil War quest line because it breaks my game. Do you know how frustrating that is? No, I guess some of you don't because you hit the lottery and don't have problems in your game. If you did, you'd understand the frustration.

Pretty sure you missed the point. He is saying, the gaming industry has the same attitude as some of you that they would rather get more content than having a polished game that works for everyone. Why? Because there isn't money in bug fixes I suppose, and as long as there are people willing to buy DLC's that sit on top of buggy games, why in the heck would they bother polishing the game? In other words, it's people like you who don't demand better products that causes the rest of us who have bug issues, to suffer at the hands of buggy software.

Yeah, I play on 360 and I'm currently dealing with most of the bugs the OP has mentioned and more like Esbern's potion. I still have that in my inventory, just waiting for it to be fixed. I understand that they can only do so much about the bugs because of how big the game is but I just hope they do something so that the game doesn't start getting cluttered with all the stuck quests and quest items.

I have had no problems with my game so why should I be demanding for fixes of the bugs I am not having.
