The last battle is stupid. To sum it up, I shoot some guys on a curved pavement (not even like the dam itself is all that visible unless I make it a point to look over the side), then I shoot some guys in a building... there's a guy with power armor... oooooooo, ahhhhhhh... then I go to the camp that I've been to before and kill a guy in a mask who's OP. Gee, original. Then, I kill a general in what's basically a quick draw contest, and it's over. Yippeeee. As lame as the abrupt ending to FO3 was, at least Liberty Prime was really cool.
In the ending that I played, it wasn't even clear in the game play how all that work with the Boomers made a difference. Jeebus, even Dragon Age didn't make mistakes like that.
Exactly. Since I was FORCED to load my save right before the Point of No Return, exploring the map just seems so unexciting. And I can't experience the other endings and questlines because of due Rep i have accrued with my current faction (which automatically fails the other factions' quests). Point of No Return sign does nothing but force me to start at a point where my faction loyalty is already decided (except yes man). Now the ending is known and looming and totally detracts from exploring.
