I said it before release and I'll say it again. The stealth system is too game dependent and not player dependent enough. That is, it becomes a skill-less skill to use once high enough and got the perks. With that being said, It would've been better had the little eye icon appear above the npc's so you can know who it is that sees you and who you will be able to crit.

As for the complete strangers just chatting it up with me every time I get within 5 feet of them. It is very annoying and kills both immersion and realism. Walk down a sidewalk downtown and see how many people just volunteeringly speak to you for the sake of speaking to you. The conversations they have with each other is a definite improvement and the conversation they have with the player is a step up as well (the zoom in, world freezes thing was stupid and I'm glad it's gone), but they really didn't need any acknowledgment of the player for simply passing by them or getting close. Perhaps some slightly distinguishable whispering among themselves as you pass by depending on things that you have accomplished.

Spoiler
Things like...

Whispering:"he/she is dragon born"
With a possible
Whispering:"That's just rumor, there's no dragon born" in reply.

Or a..

Whisper: "I heard he/she is the one to assassinate the Emperor"

And it would have to be odd occurrences or else it too would be annoying.

7: NPCs are way too talkative. I did not ask if you work the mill, or if it is fulfilling or if it pays well. I didn't ask because this is the 100,000th time you've volunteered the information while I sprinted past you.

its not JUST a exploration game, a good majority of it i combat...so you want to walk around and look at te flowers witout having to hurt anyone...cute.

statistically the avg time it take a human to become disinterested in looking at someting is 8 seconds where they ahve scanned enough of it and it no longer presents new or shiny.

so im grateful for the combat the game offers me, wait for a mod called skyrim:hello kitty island edition

Have you not played the game or read any complaints in the thread? everyone just wants the road to be safe without having to dismount your horse every 30 seconds, or give me horse combat, just so it isn't ridiculously tedious. I expect animals in the woods, but the frequency on the roads is almost outlandish, of course I want to fight, just not every 30 seconds place to place

like you said, it takes 8 seconds to become disinterested, so how much time have you spent fighting wolves that pop out of nowhere on a main road? much longer than needs to be, consider my interest lost

A simple spell - candlelight. Never dungeon delve without it

Yea. I agree with all of those things, except the dragon attacks. Yea, you can complain when an ANCIENT or ELDER dragon attacks, as they are impossible to kill, but not a normal one.

Other than that, yes. I hate the darkness/lighting problems in this game, it makes some dungeons impossible to navigate without a torch.

Yeah your list is pretty concise and I agree with all the points. I hope we can get these fixed through mods and/or patches. Especially 1 and 7. Walking on the roads should be safe, the more dangerous mobs should be deeper in the forests, and the towns folk are way to chatty even when i'm standing around minding my own business, everyone is determined to tell me their plight and life story.

Anyone else find that the higher level you get the dragons get easier to kill than everything else, but if you run into a bear on the road at level 30 he's going to F*** your day up. This is a very annoying issue, at this point it seems like mudcrabs are harder to kill than dragons.

I just accepted VERY early on that I won't be wasting 1,000 septims on a horse. My female Nord walks everywhere or will take a coach if really in a hurry (no fast travel).

It has saved me a lot of aggravation. I'm totally over it now.

It wouldn't be as big of an issue if they hadn't normalized speeds, walking can be pretty painstaking, especially when needing to scale a cliff when a horse has a clear advantage.

You can Sprint but then you run into the issue of not having stamina in the event of a difficult encounter, all in all I don't see why they can't just make relatively safe roads, then we could take advantage of the features they designed for us instead of having to go around the problem

Welcome to bethesda. Critics look past bugs and poor balancing mechanics, simply because "we expect this from bethesda"

Nobody expects Bethesda to fix these problems, so they get away with it. It's really freaking stupid and kills any credibility reviewers think they have.

The Horse thing bothers me the most. (LVL 32) I like travelling on horse. On top of what the OP said, which I agree with, is that when attacked, your only real option is to run away, on horse back. Otherwise, your horse, which won't do anything when you are on it, charges into combat. I have lost 3 horses now to Dragon attacks. You know, your horse and the Dragon are mortal enemies in a Dragon fight. Its stupid!

Companions don't ride on horses? Lame. It has forced me to not ride my horse, as I hate the fact that They trail behind you.

It kind of bugs me that the NPCs don't recognize some things you do. For instance, I already joined the Mage's College 20 levels ago, stop telling me I should join if I have the aptitude!

*Kicks enemy to ground, crosses dual wielded blades over neck, decapitates them* Its the best animation. Also yeah being detected by your own horse can be a bit annoying.

Your other stuff is just whining. I like that you are attacked a lot, it would be boring otherwise.

Try playing a stealthy character and then come back and say that with a straight face. It is no fun having to sneak [censored] everywhere all the time because I know there's gonna be two bears, 3 wolves, a thief, a set of bandits, a frost spider and an assassin on my ten minute journey from one town to another

Yeah ..that woud be the wizard in Whiterun... all you want to do is make an enchntment and there he is on the background reapting the same things over and over and over agin...I just take the headphones off now .. the lack of differnt incidental dialog has got to be one of the poorly done parts of the game.. why they just cant shut up once they have said it once or twice is beyond me.

As an aside the best WTF moments was out side of Riverwood .. a frost dragon caughtme by suprise landed right next to me when the thief ran up to me, grabbed my camera and said something about taking something and holding it for him....I was .still frozen into this surreal conversation as the the dragon, quite rightly I may add, started spraying him with frost breath. The thief expired just as he was threatening me with dire consequences if I ratted on him (I was still locked into converstion mode as this was happening with a frost dragon perched right next to .. as a scantily clad mage all they need is one bite).. Course after this I managed to back off a bit fire two bolts into it then trapped by this guy asking if Id seen the thief...I mean for godsakes theres a bloody dragon right next to us trying to kill us! They were both dead by the time I dispatched the dragon.. serves them right too.

I wandered from a city to another without being attacked, i whined to myself, because i didnt used fast travel, because i wanted to be attacked. Sometimes just 2 wolf attacking me. I actualy like this random encounters.
Sometimes its peaceful, sometimes its not. Never encountered the Attack, then 2 sec after another attack, then another. I think thats a lie.
About dragon attacks, I find it annoying, too much encounters, but hey! What are you? Dragonborn or peasant?

I play Expert level if that counts. So i am bugged because i dont get all the encounters or what?

I agree it the OP.
I think some of your points are done to Beth being on a tight schedule or being lazy. Another point could be they haven't listened to fans feedback (hey they cant see everything)
Remember the game is set in a wild time in a wild land. The population couldn't control the entire land so they protect the Holds. Expect attacks on the road although I understand after an amount of time it can be annoying.
In regards to Dragon attacks maybe 1/2 a day with perhaps 3+ hours between each one unless of course you stumble across one's nest meaning more fool you.

Ridiculously stupid NPC's with repetitive dialogue is just something I've come to expect from Bethesda. I bought Skyrim hoping the game world and the EVENTS would hold me (so far they have even if the fetch quests are getting a bit old). The characters and dialogue certainly will not be what makes the game for me. If I want to fall in love with the characters in the game and enjoy their snappy dialogue and banter, I'll play Dragon Age or Mass Effect (using the great Jennifer Hale instead of that bad Steven Segal copy). If I want to get immersed in a living breathing game world (while ignoring the dumb NPCs :D ), I go Bethesda. :P

About some of the complains in this topic, i really had to agree with the 2, 3, 8, 9. I have no position about the others except the 1 and 6.

About the 1 complain, man its a RPG game, not a SIMs game. It's not to be real but playable (if i spell right the word). The only reason i give u in that, is the lack of consistency in the road encounters, serious betsheda could put thugs, bandits and other humanoid hostile NPCs on the road instead of ... well... a Giant Spider in the door of a Hold, c'mon that's really ridiculous.

About the 6 point, i would be happy with u problem, except that by the fact i'm lvl 56 means (or it's a bug, i dunno) that every random dragon that appear are elder ones!!! I give praise to the gods when a blood dragon appear, and i barely hold healing potions with the constant problem with these elder dragons.

Now i ll take the opportunity to make some complains about the game, if whoever comes to read don't like it please don't waste time shouting at me plz (keep that for the game XD), it's just my point of view.

1° - Dragon and other big guys bug to backstab:

For some reason, some things on the game are virtually imune to backstab, look i understand that in D&D system that's natural (there dragons have a continuous ability to see the invisible, what dont occurs here), for a assassin character, something be imune to backstab make my char somewhat like ..."weak". By the way i'm use shadow warrior agains most of the enemies, didn't tried the invisible spell yet agains the dragons.

2° - Some point of the game are fatal error hot spot:

I get some random fatal errors during my game, and the only FE hot spot i can point now
Spoiler
is the Brotherhood initial base, when the emperor soldiers invade and burn it, when u enter the base if u try to go to the room at the left (don't even know if has anything uselful there) the game crashs, this ll happen even if u look to the room, i don't know the SKYRIM engine but maybe it's a problem with the archives .bif alike, using the infinite engine as a example
.

3° - Only alone i can backstab: This is ridiculous, i can only backstab if i'm alone, if i have a companion, a quest NPC follower or summon something, when i use shadow warrior (hit control to be 1s invisible) and try a backstab it always fail. Only alone i can use this tatic, well i believe this to be a bug, cos if someone is fighting another person to me, i'm crouched in the back of this enemy and make an attack... why this attack can't backstab my opponent? He's distracted by another person, even better than be searching someone that he knows is on the place, when i enter alone in a fight!

Not so problematic problems:

I suggest a upgrade and review on the skill trees, cos some trees are nearly useless, others are insanely difficult to upgrade.

Alchemy tree for example is problematic to upgrade, smith tree is problematic to ppl that want just to make weapons or focus in light armor, enchanting tree is problematic to evolute after lvl 60 on the skill, lockpick tree is useless, and sneak tree is bugged, i make my assassin leave the frist quest (where the game begins) with sneak lvl 100 :).

I heard some comments about mage characters, that magic in hight levels become a little obsolete, but i didn't make a mage yet, and just start to up my illusion perk (65 by now), so i really can't comment on this.

And now the greatest problem in the ELDER SCROLL V: SKYRIM:

THE LACK OF MODERATORS OR ADMINS TAKING NOTICE OF THESE GREAT AMOUNT OF COMPLAINS, cos for what i saw until now in the topics i view, no staff member give a comment on the complains. I ll not be the anoying guy, criticizing everything and all, but please staff guys, open a specific topic to take notice on complains to future updates.

Thx for you time.

9: This is inexcuseable: Every time a quest requires that someone other than Uthgerd follow me into a dungeon, Uthgerd is gone when I return. I use the console to bring her back to me and find that EVERYTHING in her inventory has been stripped out for no reason, even though her dialog options indicate she is still following me. I've tried sending her home beforehand only to find her not there and, when I console-teleport her back she's lost everything again anyway. I teleported myself to HER at one point and ended up http://i.imgur.com/R3znp.jpg. It made me sad.

ew what are you playing on a laptop...?

Not a problem for me.

Is your stealth character proficient with a bow? Those bad boys can get really over powered if you get the right perks, get a sweet bow (Elven or Glass for instance) and smith that bad boy up to "Legendary". Even if you are only wearing leather light armor, you can easily get your smithing to where you can make it "Exquisite" which will give you plenty of protection. Take the perk that gives you bonus for wearing the whole set (aromor, gauntlets, boots, helmet).

My petite sneak thief Breton gal can take a lot of punishment if she gets cornered. :)

The only thing that has annoyed me so far besides the minor bugs is the questlines. I have had atleast 4 or 5 times where I end up in the same dungeon for a different quest. Also if this happens to close together in time, it might glitch one of the quests. Now I understand when someone complained about the game being too repetitive. I like the random quest stuff, but Bethesda took it a little too far IMO.

It bothers me how most NPCs won't recognize you as the same race, Dark elf on Dark elf racism, Khajiit describing Khajiit to other Khajiit, sure it might be a lot of extra work but even a little acknowledgement would be nice. "You're an Orc? ME TOO!"

I didn't realize this because my two characters are a Nord and Breton. But if what you are saying is true, that's some "broke a** sh**.

That is simply not good enough. Your gripe is understandable.
