Lost, season 6.

I like the episode.

Also, did anybody find the use of suspenseful music in this episode completely overdone to the point of being hilarious?

No!

I think Jacob is going to possess Sayid, which is the character you'd want to possess if you had to.

First episode was "meh", though. The whole Sawyer vs Jack thing is a distraction I really don't want to care about anymore. It was a relief having Kate and Jack off the island for a while anyway.

Spoiler
and John's still in a wheelchair.

Spoiler
Is he still in a wheelchair, though? The way he was talking to the guy next to him made it sound like he wasn't:
"We lived out in the australian outback for a week, hunting our own food, making our own fire, building our own shelter"

Plus, he was sitting in a normal plane seat.

Yeah, but when the plane landed they got him and put him on his wheelchair. Him and Jack had a conversation about it back in the airport because they "lost" John's knife case and Jack's dad, and he was in the wheelchair then too.

That's what I was thinking to, though it seems a bit obvious. (Overly so maybe?)

Spoiler
I thought maybe that Locke was lying to Boone, though maybe in this alternate universe they let Locke go on the walkabout.

Anyways, great episode. I am going to thoroughly enjoy the alternate timeline, to see how screwed up their lives get even if they didn't crash on the island.

Spoiler
I thought the scene where Flocke (Fake + Locke, since we don't know who that guy is and to avoid confusion) describe what was going on in Lockes mind when he was dying was sad, if I were alone I could probably have cried haha

I just realized Kate stole Jack's pen on the plane. That's really insignificant but I felt good that I figured it out. :P

I also think everything that's happening on the island right now (with the temple and everything) is happening the stuff that's happening without the plane crash. I think Jack somehow changes everything, and he's the only one that knows all that happened. Of course I'm basing this entirely off of him telling John "nothing is irreversible" so I'm probably dead wrong.

Yeah but, I'm still wondering how the parallel universe happened. I mean, how did it happen if he DID do what he thinks he did? It doesn't make sense yet, but, we'll have to wait for an explanation in later episodes I guess.
Also, why was desmund on the plane? And why wasn't that guys sister..from the first seasons..she died...the white girl with blonde hair. I can't remember her name. Anyway, she wasn't on the plane. But desmund was. 0_o

Boone states that she didn't want to leave her relationship that Boone went to Sydney to break up. IIRC, the actress didn't want to come back because she was "working on her movie career." Her name was Shanon, btw.

My theory as to why Desmund was on the plane? The following isn't really a spoiler, because it's my theory but...
Spoiler
I think, that if in the alternate universe the bomb really went off that everyone that was on the island at the time was killed. Therefore, he may never have met Penny because Widmore was killed in the explosion, and thus, he never had any reason to go on that sailboat race in which he ends up crashing on the island. The only reason he went on that race was in order to prove himself to Penny's father that he was capable of some things. Why he was on the plane then? I don't know, they'll need to explain that since I don't see why he would have been in Australia at that point.

That's actually a really good theory Malakthrin, and that's what I was thinking in the back of my head honestly. It seems like the only logical explanation at this point.

I love it. I'm actually the only one in my year, literally, who watches it, but what the hell. I actually like the convoluted mysteries and stupidly long run time.

I'm really excited about this season, I thought the opening was really good, and I'm excited to see how they all explained everything.

I actually like the idea of the altered timeline, and the whole time time I was figuring out if anyone had any idea of what was going on.

Though I will say, next time I see someone and wonder, "have I seen you before?" I'm going to have a whole lot more questions about a relationship with them that might have been

I really, really hope they bring Charlie back for a bigger part in the last season, I really liked his character. He was a lot of fun. He was in the first episode this season yeah, but I hope that's not all we see of him.

Of coarse he is, who in the world would dispute that? It is almost specifically stated haha. The man in black from the end of season 5, is obviously the smoke monster.

So I'm pleased to see that for once we're not incredibly late with Lost here in the Netherlands. First episode of season 6 airs tomorrow.

When you guys were discussing the season 5 finale here on the forums they hadn't even begun broadcasting season 5 here...

It's what happens with a lot of American shows here. Last time I checked we just finished season 6 of Smallville (and now it'll be gone for half a year probably), while season 9 has just started its second half in the US. :P

Yes, it's a miracle that it's still going. 9 seasons, who would have thought? It has had its ups and downs, especially downs, but the current season has been pretty good so far.

Smallville/Clark has sure matured over the years. No more constant drooling over Lana, no simple 'freak of the week' stories anymore and Clark is finally acting more Superman'ish. edit: The two hour 'Absolute Justice' episode was awesome!

Anyway back on topic, I've just seen the first two episodes of Lost season 6. I wonder where they are going with all of this. It's a good thing this is the final season though.

Are they also airing two episodes in a row in the US?
