Please keep in mind that this is to be a civil discussion about the Mass effect series, not a crucifixion of Bioware's development team.

With spoilers very much rampant make sure to put them in a spoiler to not ruin the game for people.
The spoiler tags can be used like so [spoiler.] and the matching tag would be [/spoiler.] without the dots(.) at the ends.

ALSO - In respect to povuholo, as well as the players who are reading through our thread, trying to avoid the details of the ending, a thread specifically for the endings has been created. http://www.gamesas.com/topic/1361223-mass-effect-3-ending-discussion-thread-3-spoilers/page__st__90 In light of this, it would be greatly appreciated that you do not post discussion of the ending to Mass Effect 3's ending here.

Thread Rules:
  • This is an ongoing topic for discussion about Mass Effect series, so keep the discussion on the games.
  • It is understandable if you don't like Mass Effect games. We have no problem with you sharing this, but this is an ongoing topic. As such, it is primarily based on the positive aspects of the games, so if you don't like them don't post.
  • This is an ongoing discussion and some people don't like Mass Effect games. If you try to provoke them it is just as bad. If you do disagree with someone, please don't drag it into a fight. This topic is primarily for what we like about the games and our ongoing experiences.
  • Respect forum rules. If you are unclear review them here.
  • Respect for other forum members is perhaps the most important. We all have opinions and we are all human beings. Treat each other with respect.

Stupid pistols and SMG. Give me a good Assault Rifle dammit! I'd kill for a Mattock X, only got it for II now.. Geth Plasma SMG is what I keep getting and it svcks.

I like the Revenant Assault Rifle. I like it and, aside from the awesome name, it mows down enemies like a charm. A deadly, bullet spewing charm.

What system do you play on anyway, Pistolero?

Hmm. Tried that thing a couple times (I've got it to II), and it's just so inaccurate. (Probably, again, a preference thing. I prefer weapons with at least half the accuracy gauge filled, and put a scope on damn near everything. Most of the time, I'm firing zoomed in on a scope. Either sniper rifle, Mattock, or Predator.)

Tried Geth Engineer first time in Firebase Dagger, Cerberus, Gold and I quite like it. Too bad it doesn't have Incinerate (the sentry turret is a joke) but the Hunter mode and Geth weapon damage bonus add up quite nicely. Taking down Phantoms with one Overload + Shotgun shot combo was most pleasing. I hate those stupid pseudo-ninjas with their swords and insta-kill.

I got Revenant IV but never use it, don't like it. It's too inaccurate. It has nothing Geth Plasma Shotgun doesn't. Why I'd be interested in something like Mattock though is that the Geth shotty doesn't fit for Adepts, gotta keep the weight low.

I play on PC.

The same turret that restores shields?
How can that be useless?!

Meh, I prefer offensive skills. Incinerate works perfectly against a number of enemies especially armored ones.

But if your rolling as a geth engy, GPS X and Hunter mode are your offensive skills.
Having the shield restoring turret helps to balance out your paper shields when using hunter mode.
I suppose its just me though, I always strive for maximum weapon damage on anything other than an Adept.

Quite true. I played just two fights as Geth Eng, and used the Turrets mostly to distract Atlases. Guess I'll be lobbing them near myself in the future.

Hey Guys,

I'm afraid I must admit that I have not read through the past pages/threads but am I the only person here who has no desire to continue to enjoy ME3's multiplayer until it's truly atrocious final act is revised/retconned/fixed? I deeply hope that the indoctrination theory is true because if not then something awful must have happened when the BW writers were penning the ending.

I just can't bring myself to play it anymore because the conclusion of the game so thoroughly ruined my enjoyment of the franchise in an valance of nonsensical elements, plot holes, and a complete lack of closure.

I find that the Revenant can be useful if you use it like a shotgun with a very large clip and always aim for the head or you stay in cover whenever you use it, keeping the accuracy within usable levels.

Heh. Just had an MP game that was joined, one after another, by four Geth Infiltrators.
Alas, we fought Reapers and not Geth. :teehee:

Of course.
Just to clarify it would be between incinerate and decoy. Should I invest in incinerate completely or partially to have decoy. How much should I invest in decoy if any at alll?

I've found plenty of assets by just flying around space and scanning every planet I see, then subsequently chased out of the system by Reapers.

I love usinhg the combat drone on banshees and brutes so useful.

Can't wait to get it rockets.

I was in a silver match and saw 3 guys use high level vangaurds.

It was devastating to the reapers. I guess they were all in sync because they would all charge the enemy at the same time. lol

I was using infiltrator and just held back and broutht down any stragglers, and once they messed up and I had to snipe and cammo for the whole round.

Otherwise it was awesome
