If my wife was prejudice like that, I would of wanted to rip my child from her womb too . We also had the Aundae clan leader send the player out to find her son because she was concerned about him. And in Dawnguard, we can see that Serena's mother cares about her, going as far as to hide her from Harkon.

Still, they are preternatural predators that feast on mortal flesh. People will still see them as cliche bad guys that need to be destroyed!

In any case, my vampire will feed on anyone and everyone that tries to stop them.

Leaning towards vampire, but haven't decided yet. I have a sneaky Argonian (duh) archer in the Thieves Guild, but haven't really done anything besides side jobs. Quite frankly, unless he contracts vampirism on his journey's I can't see the tie in for either side. (besides my drive to do it for me of course!)

I like vampires, I'd just wish they would bring back clans with different quests depending on which clan's bloodline you had

As we speak, my level 60 char. is re-stringing their favourite dual-enchanted daedric fire-and-shock bow... polishing their muffled boots... eating plenty of carrots to keep the old night-eye in order... sharpening their claws... unpacking the Ebony arrows and brushing up on the detect-enemies shout.
Twenty hours of gameplay?... the filthy metrosixual life-svcking fiends aren't going to last twenty minutes. The grateful common-folk of Skyrim can thank me later.

When I play the DLC, not only am I going to play both sides of the coin, but I'm probably going to be a decent Vampire. As in, a "nice" Vampire. My Vampire Character is a fairly decent bloke, although I do feed off my wife... I try not to feed off anyone else, and I keep to 'Stage One' of Vampirism all the time. If the need arises, I do visit the closes inn and snack out on a random sleeping victim.

I can't wait for the crossbows. I assume they'll shoot straighter, and faster(as bolts travel faster than arrows) than bows.

Also I just know someones gonna make a fully automatic/self reloading crossbow mod.

If they make being a vampire worthwhile in the game unlike in Skyrim as of right now then my evil player will certainly be one. My illusion/destruction/stealth rogue will definitely be dawnguard though.

The Dwemer were not eradicated. They left willingly.

Have a Werewolf character that'll most likely side with the Dawnguard.
Also have an Argonian Vampire that will side with the vamps

Although, depending on the bonuses from each side; I have a feeling I'll probably side with Dawnguard for a lot of my playthroughs.

You're right, the risks are unknown. Do I have to feed? Will I contract regular vampirism as well? Can I ever revert back to lycanthropy if I so desire?

I never liked vampires and I'd even choose werewolves over them...however, the Vampire Lord feature I must admit made them appear to be a lot better than how vampires are normally portrayed.

However, I will still be joining the Dawnguard first.

Whenever I have a brancing questline, here is my decision making process:

I always play the good guy first. If there is no clear good guy, I pick the underdog, if there is no clear underdog, I pick whomever I found first.

Thus, I will play dawnguard

Or I just don't like being evil.

It is not racist to dislike someone who attacks and kills humans for any reason. There are ways around this so the minute one of them actually feeds on the living they become a monster. Selfishness is not and will never be a justification for murder. Self preservation isn't either since there are other ways then killing the innocent. If that was reason enough to justify feeding on the innocent then it would also mean killing simply to obtain ones property was okay since you could sell it to by food. It's not okay and its not a matter of opinion. Someone who in the real world believes that philosophy is not fit to be a member of society.

If the vampire never feeds on the innocent then their existence is tolerable.
