Both sides sound really appealing to me, the only way I'll be able to decided is when I have the DLC and I'm at the moment where you get to choose, kinda like when choosing my first characters race.

I wonder how the choices in dawnguard will effect future games because no sun is kind of a big deal. Vampires all the way!

Well, technically there is no sun anyways, it's just a hole. I bet they will only block the sun from the Dawnguard location, if it's seperate from Skyrim, rather than the entire world but I'm probably wrong.

Were they too shy to pray at a random shrine when they were afflicted? I'm pretty sure most people can tell when they've been afflicted with "Sanguinare Vampiris".

I swear every post I read by you sounds like your avatar's voice actor and ends in some Bible verse or "AMEN!" in my head.

On topic, I haven't decided which to do yet. It'll depend how it affects my character's appearance partially.

What prophecy?

An Elder Scrolls prophecy that predicts the eradication of vampires. Its why Harkon wants to find the scroll and to blot out the sun. We have no other information but many "hands-on" online impressions says that there is some prophecy the vampires want to stop from happening.

Dawnguard here. I don't HATE vampires because of what they are (seems racist like to me), but the fact that these specific vampires want to make the entire world better for themselves while making it worse for everyone else is more than enough to pit me against.

Vampires, it's not even a choice I need to think about for any fraction of a second. I'm actually quite glad most people are picking the Dawnguard - it allows me to be a hipster vampire.

It seems there are actually three new kinds of builds people are looking forward to playing in Dawnguard, rather than just two.

Vampire lords, crossbow-wielding vampire hunters and enhanced werewolves. Many of us will probably play all three.
