The way i see it is that its all situational. If i'm playing defense, heavy will be more useful to me than light no matter how good you are at "ninja flanking the enemy from behind and no one knows you're there so you kill the entire enemy". With the way that the radar in the game works if just one person on their team looks in your direction, you appear on the minimap. Plus, being able to take that little more damage can make all the difference in a fire fight, especially since i play with a high sensitivity usualy (i dont know if you can change that in Brink, but i'm guessing you can please correct me if im wrong) so i can track light people sprinting around.(note: thats another thing that i find weird, when people write these one on one light vs heavy stories, they do know that you cant sprint and shoot at the same time and that their regular speed is not lightning fast right? that being said though if the light is better at aiming than he can win if he just unloads into the heavies head) On offense however, i would see a medium being useful, but a heavy would also be good to defend someone while they are planting the bomb or protecting the bomb after its been planted
