What class do you think will be the worst one to play as?

There is bodytypes and classes, you seem to be talking about bodytypes not classes.

It's hard to balance bodytypes, to me it's just diffrent playstyle with diffrent strength and weaknesses.

Well, why shan't we talk about both problems:

Class - probably none of them, unlike in previous SD games. You got same weapons for each. If there will be most useless(say, slightly less useful) - it will be operative, as it was in ET & ET:QW.

Body type - I think it depends on the maps we'll be playing on. It will also depends on the precise balance of the movement speed, weapons damage. I would say none of them, again.

I don't hate any bodytype, nor do I hate a class. Imo, if you hate on a class, you'll get heavy discussions, because you will hate the people who play a certain class.

I do hate overpowered abilities and/or weapons.

I really don't want to play the Spectator-Class/Bodytype.

how can you not want a class or bodytype? they all have uses, the bodytypes are fast, strong or balanced, the classes are all usefull and all needed for a good strong team...
i know i'll be trying every possible combination, i might end up finding the light soldier to be the most suited for my gaming style

As stated body types are not classes and they all have there uses. I would say offhandedly that there is an inclination for some people to hate light operatives.

huh ? Well I would also go for none, but I don't really understand how operatives in ETQW would be a little less useful... I mean, they put the Radar ! I can't count the number of times I had to respawn as a covert ops / infiltrator because the actual operatives wouldn't do their main support job (radar), and only happy-camper-snipe. And then, infiltrate in synchronisation with attacking squad to wreak havoc in defense just before the assault...
The class I play the less in ETQW is probably the soldier, but I think all of them are useful, because that's how the game was built. I guess it really depends on the game experience of each person.

I think the same for Brink, even though the duality of class + body type enhances the combinations and the difficulty of "balancing the usefulness" of each... They take a lot of time to balance the game, so I think it should turn out good, with no real combination "left out". Maybe some would be felt "slightly less useful", but it will probably be once again because of how they are played by the majority of players...

I have no skill when it comes to acting like the enemy, I always get found out in TF2, and that's when you have cloaking too. So I'm not sure if I'll be able to pull off Operative, but I'll probably give it more effort than engi. I'm not the camping sort of person, so if I do play as one it would probably just be to throw down a turret to cover my ass then charge in.

So I'll be mostly sticking to Medic and Soldier. I'm interested in all 3 body types though. I'm a rusher as i said before, and all 3 have merits when rushing. You can rush fast with light, and create problems early on for the enemy, you can push hard and not go down with heavy, or have both a bit of mobility and decent health as a medium.

Aaaahh.. There was nothing more epic than being disguised as an enemy, acting as you are securing the transfer (CTF Delivery spot, but takes a few seconds to transmit the objective) area for "your team" and backstab the guy transmitting the objectives and returning the documents. Good fun and makes the enemy team pretty mad at you, because you just stole their victory, atleast for a min or two more.

Starting off in the game I think would be Soldier.

I'll do fine plahying them because I'm generaly a supportive player in anygame i play in. I see most who have switched over from other FPS that pick the soldier will want to rush in and shoot up the place. They will throw the ammo when the command tells them too, but not when a request is called out.

Medics and Engineers will be played the same so no trouble there.

Operatives might be a problem due to the whole "I wanna be the Hokage!" mind set. I dare anhyone to make a bright orange Operative character.

I will take you up on that dare. My Resistance operative will be bright orange. Or should I make him yellow/black, like a wasp? Hmm...

If someone calls for ammo, the game tells a Soldier to hand some out, iirc.

Playing a Spy is nothing something anyone can do and especially do well. Engineers don't always camp there are plenty of way to be an offensive engineer.

Oh I will dare and will make it all the more humilating when you get stabbed in the back by the "great orange operative!"

Now that i will do.

I'm with the rest of the guys/gals all classes/body types have their uses. i can see some major hating on light ops, but as i will play one myself from time to time, i cant really speak. Same with heavy self buffed medics, ppl will think they are unkillable for the first few days

It is odd that people think it will be the lights with the invincible complex when the heavy medic is the obvious contender for the belt. :spotted owl:

None. There isn't an unwanted class for me, I'm sure I will go nuts trying to decide however.

As far as bodytypes go, I will not being playing as the Light. I'm sticking to my Medium, and occasionally Heavy.

And, to add even more to the discussion, I still think they should remove the Anger archtype.

Meh the archtype's won't be used after the first few days anyway, so you won't have to look at it.....

I tend to prefer specialized characters too all-rounders so there's a good chance most of my early characters will be Light or Heavy, but I'm sure I'll have some Mediums as well. As for class, I'm least likely to play a Medic but I'll certainly give it a try.

I'm looking forward to all the classes and body builds. All will work in different situations and play styles.

I can imagine the usual sniping or sneaking up behind with stealthy people may get annoying when they kill you but happens in most fps :P

why restrict oursevles anyway :) try and play all combinations. Especially after you've played one a lot, changed body type and classes refreshes the way to play on maps. That's how it worked for me in ETQW... taking turns on different classes when you feel bored with one... and who knows, maybe you discovered a new way to play a class by looking at other players, or getting killed in a creative manner ! <3

Can't bloody wait for this game :)
