Clearly everyone has different opinions on the value of any given perk, but if one skill unlocks a dozen perks and another skill unlocks zero, there are obviously significant secondary options available for the former and not the latter.
I can agree with that, but I remember (for example) the option [in FO2] to install a brain in the brain bot. The PC's ability determined the results, and better ability gave access to a better NPC.
One could [sensibly] ask, "who puts 150% into science?", but the ones who do are the ones to get that result. I liked this in the series.
I can understand designing for an "average play through" so that most will get most of what's in the game, but this series always did have rewards for the extremist.
(Some skills just
do provide generally more, while others are just by nature, specialized. If someone chose to specialize, getting a few very interesting options instead of many average ones, still seems balanced to me.)
I will wait and see. I don't doubt that the game has been tested for balance and to work smoothly. :tops:
**Nice interview btw (PlanetFallout)
