New info from the US OXM

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 9:50 pm

I am very curious how long this skill boost will last...I kinda hope it last for a couple days. I'm glad they made it so it's a temporary boost..But I really don''t want them to cut it down so it just lasts a couple hours or minutes! I mean..I really hope the PC has enough brains to remember what he read for at least a couple days!

Someone will most likely mod this and make them last longer, if not indefinitely.

1/2 on topic:

I thought the article was well written, wish I could say the same about the UK counterpart.

Yeah. Not to be nitpicky, but the UK article contradicted itself and overall was unprofessional. The US article was well written, and the info it contained was interesting.

.22's are going to be in the game I like that. Light weight guns even with ammo weight you can carry hundreds no problem. If they bring back shooting people in the eyes that would be awesome!

I agree, .22's are nice guns to have and eye shots would be a nice return. Crippling the eyes was always fun in FO2.

i agree 100% with the skill magazines providing a temporary boost. No more maxed out characters!!!

then they would hardly be woth finding them. i like them the way they are but would settle if there was less or maybe harder to find

Not only that, it just plain doesn't make sense! Drugs? Sure they're a temporary boost or negative, but a book? Now I'll admit sometimes I've forgotten certain exact lines from books but I guarantee I haven't forgotten the books I've read enough that I couldn't write about them or tell you about them. Hear me? Now let me take that even further. Does your character tear the dang thing up after he read it? Even if he forgets a few parts he still should have the dang thing to go back and reference, right? Why couldn't we just have less books giving a permanent increase instead of some foolish run-a-round way of fixing overpowered characters?

My friend showed me a real magazine that had actual screen shots of New Vegas. In one of them, a character (presumably the PC) is wearing Combat Armour and firing a weapon that looks like an M4 at a Super Mutant, and the paragraph beside it says the person is shooting at a Nightkin, which is an elite form of Super Mutant. It looks almost exactly like Fallout 3, but that's no a bad thing, right?

It's been almost 5 years since my last major post here, but I must say this game has me excited enough to salivate over these news discussions.

LOL, 9 pages. Just go out and spend the 5 buck on the magazine. There are some good pics in there, I particulary like the ones of the standard rifle, and the rifles with attachments. "Best sniper spot ever."

And I'm in Australia right now so I really can't pick up the US copy at the moment.

*EDIT*
I did see that "Best sniper spot ever" Image..Just imagine how cool it would be to turn that into your home! Heheeeeee!

I hope gameinformer prints an article on it soon, they did a full story on F03 and they have yet to even mention NV, kinda upsetting.

All the articles so far have pretty much been the same article. I'm fine in waitin' for a new wave of news.

Errr...

Somethin' new, mebbe? A Chris Avellone-penned dialogue or a screen-shot of something more interesting than renegade Uruk-Hai supermutants.
