Thank you so much! That is very interesting too, I like it and hope to see it implemented in FO:NV.

Does anyone else get the feeling from the trailer, that the NCR has just arrived and there's a war/annexation coming?

I also was thinking about that, but also thought of the possibility that it's already happened, and the NCR is having trouble keeping it in order? Just a random thought to go along with what you were saying. :)

I hadn't thought about from that point of view, sounds about as likely. Good call.

No. Rather I think its a sentry watching to make sure whatever is in Vegas, stays in Vegas. My guess is that perhaps the robots have taken over and thats why the power is still running.

Does anyone recognize the cowboy on the TV robot's screen?

Also I noticed some orange light amidst the blue light in Vegas, possible fires?

The original http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wasteland_(video_game) plotline reborn? Of course with alterations to make it mesh with what the fallout series has done over the years.

Bethesda does not have the rights to the original Wasteland, Brian Fargo's inXile does.

I thought that cowboy reminded me of that waving cowboy sign in the real Vegas.

I was hoping it would show some gameplay, to see how much they borrowed from FO3 and how much it will resemble the oldies. I was also wondering if the mountains will be climable/explorable or will they just make a boundary to stay within. Most excited about a tentative release date.

I think we will be seeing gameplay vids or at least screenshots in the coming months. I am just going off the assumption of what MW2 and GoW2 did, teasers, then a few months later some gameplay or more info. But if FO:NV comes this fall, it will take over my life along with Starcraft II!

I had almost forgotten about Starcraft 2. It's funny, the game market is bigger than it has ever been, but the best games coming out IMO are all sequels to really old series. Someone make Starcontrol 4 already!

I'm just not convinced of that yet... The droid in the video is half broken-down it seems, grabbing at nothing in the sand, kinda bobbing back and forth without any purpose.

Then we pan back onto the Human(oid?) who looks very much badass, and not lost.

Maybe I'm trying to read too much from it

I think that's a fair assumption. I think those who have the idea, that robots have taken over, are reading too much into it? There are other more reasonable examples to why NV is so lit up. Like hydroelectrics have been put back into place, and so it's lit up?

Indeed... I suppose that's what makes a good intro; Just enough to present several probabilities, not enough to figure anything out from it. :)

I like the Hydroelectrics idea alot, Hoover Dam is one piece of real-estate that will still be around Long after we're gone, it makes sense that they could get power from it again. Or like Syraxis says, the west-coast has been rebuilding alot more than the east. Either way I like that fact that there's power.

If the Hoover dam remained untouched, it would likely remain functionable, A show on the History channel I saw recently reaffirmed this, The dam can run for a long long time with no human interaction, so with some intermittant maintenance it could very well still be operational. Depending on when the game takes place, which I'm really wondering about..

Damn this teaser, now NV is all I can think about, and I have a ton of games to play, but I'm just lurking around various sites for info..

Trailers especially reveal ones don't show gameplay. At least in my experience they don't.We will probably see some at a convention or something.
