New Vegas was kind of better, in a way.

Though I already vote NV, I have to say that's a damn fine idea. Who knows, maybe Team Howard's writers will come out of that collective stroke and write some darn good characters and story. I won't get my hopes up, but you hold a respectable view.

I doubt that. A chance, but I doubt it. The Shivering Isles helped Oblivion just by being different. Anything from an expidition to Akavir, one into a Falmer stronghold, or one to the past through a time wound could happen. Add that to what improvements to the gameplay they can make plus the new items and Skyrim will probably be really great. The writting of NV has a natural edge simply because the player gets more hefty choices. TES has always kinda held itself back because our player is (almost) always cannon. And when every choice has to be the hisorically correct one, they tend to be very wattered down. There's hope in dlc dealing with the Empire/Rebel situation, and our choices made in that, but I get a fibe that at the end something will leave the slate clean making it rather meaningless which side you chose.

There's a chance they'll make it interesting, but there's an equal chance the npc's around you will just change with a mention that the rest of the opposing faction have joined forces to fight the Thamor. I'm a hopeful person, but I'm also trying to be a realist.
