Well put. I am now fully persuaded Betehsda pays close attention to these forums. Even if both Todd and Matt hadn't acknowledged it, both the Game Jam and Dawnguard appear to be direct responses to forum hue-and-cry, so to speak. That's why I will kepp raising my voice just to let Beth know, hey, it's alright you gave us vampires this time. I'm cool with that. Just don't strike that vein too often and give the rest of us something fresh, exciting, well thought out. There is now abundant compelling evidence crtiticism is listened too, not matter how many amongst us brand it "complaining" or "hating".
Agreed. When I say I'm not interested in the DLC, I'm not complaining (much). There are a lot of people who are interested in either vampires or in holy warrior types, and while neither interest me at all, I'll still play the DLC just as I played KoTN even though that wasn't my thing, either. But I still have a right to register my "meh" vote.

No, Eddy Wanna-svck is not special. he is just a pedophile preying on High Schoolers. Only unique Vamps can be good through unique circumstance

Edward could've been unique if they didn't mess up the vampires in de' first place...

You will never see me complaining about the alledged "complainers", "haters" and other silly tags, except when they are complaining about the complaining, in which case some verbal icy water might help expose the nonsense of it all. You are very much entitled to express your views, no matter what others might think of them.

If you sparkle then idc if you are the most ancient, unique, powerful vampire...you get no special treatment or story...you get the end of Blade's Katana

I don't understand why anyone would want to play a vampire. Then again, I play mostly good guys.

No they also broke a cardinal rule of vampirism: Every Vamp can NOT be immune to sunlight, that is for the unique special circumstance characters, otherwise they are not vamps

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't there a vampire in almost every elder scroll game so it not like they just decided to throw vampires in and I'm pretty sure that elder scrolls give you a choice to be a hero or a villain so you can't really say its mainly about being a hero

Vamps have always been in the TES games. The only time I really played one was in MW so I could join a clan and do those sub-quests. But I didn't take that character on to do the MQ. It just didn't seem right until after I cured myself (also an interesting quest). But that's just me and I am sure anyone can find a way to justify a Vampire Lord also saving the world from dragons.

It's absolutely true that in TES games you are not forced to be a hero. Bravo for that. I however generally do play heroes, unless I make a specific evil character just to do the quests I miss from being good. For example my Dunmer assassin that I made just for the sole purpose of doing the DB and Daedric quests. I would still say that the MQ character in TES games is intended to be a good guy hero, but it doesn't have to be.

Until you get it through your gluebowl that NOTHING about Twilight is good. It is unoriginal, poorly executed, and a pop-culture plague

I liked being a vampire in Oblivion. I like how they're adding a transformation to Skyrim like they have with the werewolves. This will make being a vampire in this game more appealing

Being able to point blank shoot a nosfertu in the face? I'm in. Time to create a witch hunting vampire slaying werewolf being character. Using dawn breaker? Um derp. Restro? Derp. Fire? Derp again.

I really just recently "accidentally" obtained the vampire disease and yes it is a disease. I am kind of fed up with all of the towns people attacking me and the diminished stats in sunlight. So, could anyone give a good explanation on why currently vampires are a good choice and how I can use them to my advantage?
I know with Dawnguard we get cool stuff for the vampires, but currently are vampires worth anything?

I absolutely loved being a vampire in oblivion. In skyrim, being a vampire svcked because towns would just attack me on site at level 4 so I became a werewolf. I'm happy that the vamps are getting buffed, they'll be a lot more playable!
