Olympics

Oh, and Miller was on fire! There were some sweet saves in there. We doubled+ the shots on goal, but the US made what they took count more. My adrenalin is still pumping. B)

P.S.

Oh they mentioned it. They said that the US was playing him like a fiddle, in not so many words. They knew his weakness and played to it. He fell hook line and sinker.

Not to mention half our national stars PLAYED ON THE DEVILS with him... c'mon/?

Whoo boy, that was a fantastic game! Canada and the U.S. should just have exhibition games like this throughout the year for the hell of it. :hehe:

They could play again, but they might get beat by Russia, which has been doing pretty well.

And GO BODE MILLER! Woohoo!

Well, 3-0 to Sweden in 2nd period. :twirl:
But the big question needs to be answered. Where the hell is the Finnish Lions' passion? Where's the ancestral rivalry? So far it's been a breeze for the Swedes. The Finns even had two successive 5 on 3 situations and even then there was barely any flame in the game. And now it's a five-minute 5 on 4 for the Swedes and a game misconduct for Joni Pitk?nen. The Finns better start to wake up or else they'll have big problems in this Olympics.

EDIT: Even the Finnish commentators are criticizing their own kinsmen.

The only games of the Olympics I've watched so far was USA vs Sweden (I think) in womens hockey And the last few minutes of that sweeping game thing when it was USA vs France (why I watched it, I don't know). the only sport I'm interested in see in the Olympics are Snowboarding and hockey.
I didin't see the USA vs Canada game but I kinda wish I did :/

That was one of the worst Sweden - Finland games I've ever seen. Boring even. No fire, no interest from the Finns, no nothing. Was it even a match? I don't know. But I expected more of a Torino match than this.

There was time when I was intrested about Finland success during Ice Hokey. Especially Sweden versus Finland.
But today I just laughed for our feeble strugle.

Speaking of Russia and rivalries they are the tops for Canada. (And how dare you even think it!!! :P)

Hope it's as exciting of a game, with better results.

I think the America/Russia rivalry is bigger, but that is coming from an American. I wasn't alive in '80, but you quickly learn about things like that. :P

Well of course it is, for Americans. :poke:

The women play today, hoping for a good game vs a stomping. No fun when they (Anyone.) completely walk over other teams. Just not sporting really. (Though it's how other teams improve, play the best, take your lumps and put what you learned to practice.)

As far as rivalry goes it Russia ,Canada and the US all have it out for each other.Russia and Canada are the two obvious power houses while the US wants to prove it can hang with the big boys. There was certainly plenty of hits in last nights game.

Germany is closing in. I hope we can mantain the lead medal count. Our early successes must not be buffed out due to Germany. We must prevail.
