OXM info. so far

I think the Y is for Xbox controlers, since the magazine is Xbox magazine, atleast thats what the bottom of the pages said when I read it online. For computer I am pretty sure its the same old V key as in FO3.
Your both wrong when you press "Y" in VATS it enables special moves to be executed like "fore!" with the golf club

Well to be fair at least one of them is very poorly written, researched, and edited.

Hopefully they don't do Army Of Two: The 40th Day customization.

maybe you could fill us in, seeing nobody plays that (especially here).

weapon customization in that game leans towards things like platinum appliques and zebra-print finishes...

Actually the customization in that game is very good, those are just styles you can put on for [censored] and giggles.

Adding things to weapons is enough for me though, swapping out barrels, stocks, and things is unnecessary as long as Obsidian designs some nice looking weapons.

hopefully gun customising also alters the look and in a drastic way, if I buy a bigger mag mod for my 10mm SMG I don?t want them to just stretch the magazine part of the model to make it look bigger but replace it with a drum magazine!

Also hopefully we wil be able to modify our bodies too, it seamed so sill in Fallout 3 that you could have 10 in strength yet you still lookt like a guy why can?t spell to gym let alone use anything in one.

My guess remembering how things worked in gamesas games is when you customize a weapon weapon you in fact swamping weapons.

well then I hope they have a model for each possible combo that sticks out, tho a weapons mod system is nice if my gun looks exactly the same after a mod as before I don?t see any use having a weapons mod system in the first place.

Well I'd imagine that scopes and silencers would show up on your weapons, but things like increased fire rate is more of an internal upgrade than an external one...

well that I can accept, I was referring more to obvious external thing like scopes and mags, just saying it would be nice knowing you could look at your gun and see that you spent time on it. I wanna be the guy who has a Chinese assault rifle with a scope and a drum magazine so that way when I look at the Chinese assault rifle my enemy uses I know the gun I have is my unique gun.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it, but it also says in the mag 'Victor isn't exactly forthcoming in his reasons for saving you' which is pretty good material for all you conspiracy theorists

Why so little news? Or was the info leaked before the magazine was released? The PS3 magazine had tons of info.

I think the reason we haven't gotten much information from the other magazines is that they weren't scanned(for starters), and since they weren't scanned not everyone can see that information. Only a few actually have the magazines and have been nice enough to post a few tidbits of information they learned from them.

An example would be those SPECIAL skill names, I think. There's actually been a decent amount of information aside from the info that was leaked, but I can't remember which is which very well.

Plus, either way, they've only just recently started giving us information on the game. They were pretty quiet up until recently. So, obviously, we don't have nine months of information-or anything like that.

To be honest, I wouldn't be shocked if Victor isn't really a 'good guy,' or if he knows more than he's telling. Even if he's not, the fact that they made him to be possibly suspicious was probably to add to the mystery of the main storyline. Still, I'm glad that Victor might not just be a total good guy. Shady is more entertaining. :)

I would be inclined to agree, I dont even know how many magazine articles were wrote up about FO:NV other than the two I was able to read online. I have tried online searches for FO:NV to see if I can find more information or more magazine articles to read but I just keep getting hits on Vegas or anything that says Fallout

XOM SCAGE PANS exist. But the info is quite similar to the previous magazines published. It seems like each article had similar demo experiences/press photos and the devs fed each reported 1 or 2 specific details they didn't give to the other 2.

Only ones I got to read was the Xbox magazine article and the PS3 magazine article. Both of them pretty much were the same but the Xbox magazine article had alittle more in it, I belive it was also from england as well. But I dont really put alot of faith in magazine articles, I have the orignal PC gamer article from 1998 still about homeworld and Half Life and boy the article made half life to me sound crappy when I thought it was pretty fun.

Is it just me, or are the PSM and OXM articles the exact same ? I didn't notice a single difference between the two. Either they were the exact same or NMA got their scans mixed up.

The mention of the age slider was specific to OXM. They are pretty similar overall, although the OXM one reads like a somewhat thicker and less mature version of the PSM article.

When I say the exact same, I mean the exact same. The scans I saw of both PSM and OXM had the same pictures, both articles were red, and the text was somewhat similar, too.

After seeing their article about Oblivion V (I thought it was The Elder Scrolls), they lost all credibility to me, at least as journalists.

Lets see some quotes from the scans.

"Clearly, you have a responsibility to push the series forward, but there's also nothing worse than a misguided attempt to differentiate a follow-up that only ruins what everyone loved about the original. Throw in a new developer - New Vegas is being developed by Obsidian rather then Bethesda's in-house team - And there is no doubt that a fair few fallout fans will be concerned that this could be a recipe for nuclear disaster."
Allright.. Is this guy talking about in the first sentence about what Bethesda has done, or has he /she never heard that Fallout 1 or 2 have already been made? Then he is worried, because some of the people that have worked on the 1st 2 Fallouts are working on NV, and know Fallout better then anyone will make me and alot of other Fallout fans concerned?

"New Vegas is the familiar Fallout experience, but in a fresh setting."
Yes, even though i've never been in Nevada in another Fallout before, i can say for sure that seeing desert is not fresh at all, at least on past Fallouts.

"You have the option of heading out with her to shoot some mutant Geckos, a new enemy"
Yes, new, never saw Geckos in Fallout 2. I thought that the person who wrote this was a Journalist. Aren't journalists supposed to investigate and know what they are writing?

From what I hear, one particular magazine was a little ignorant and/or favored Fallout 3. I love Fallout 3, but some of those quotes just annoy me. Yes, I was a little worried when I heard it wouldn't be Bethasda working on it-but when I heard exactly how this whole deal will probably work, it sounded like the best combination ever. I really doubt many Fallout fans that have actually been keeping up with the news will be worrying anymore, especially when Obsidian should definitely know how to make a Fallout game.

Though on the 'fresh setting,' part, I think they mean the fact it's not JUST barren desert. Other than the fact it won't be in the capital wasteland, the actual area will have plant life and a sky. Or, at least, one not totally clouded over.

He/she might be a 'journalist,' but I doubt he/she did much(if any) research on anything other than Fo3(which he/she probably played). Which is a little disappointing, considering they're the ones generally giving information to all the gamers/fans.

Still, the guy/girl does give information-biased or not-that we didn't know....though all of the magazines are pretty similar. I'm still pretty glad that they came out, however, since any information is good to hear. Even if it might not necessarily be definitely in the game. In that factor I couldn't care less how someone writes up the information-so long as they tell the important details.

More on topic, however. Is there going to be a magazine that will talk about Fallout: New Vegas soon?
