That Fallout 3's moral decisions are mostly black and white (with a few notable exceptions) was evident to many fans even long before release, when the press lauded the Megaton quest as a supposedly tough moral choice.

Also here is a list of strength descriptions:
1:Wet Noodle
2: Beached Jellyfish
3:Doughy Baby
4: Light Weight

5: Average Joe

6: Barrell Chested
7:Beach Bully

8: Circus Strongman
9:Doomsday Pecs
10: Hercules bigger cousin.

That was someone's idea, they're not the actual titles for strength.

False: in one of the Screen Shots in OXM it shows the Vigour test and these are indeed the Strength descriptions (I would not lie :tops: )

I'm glad to hear aging would be back, I didn't play much Oblivion, but I remember in character creation that was an option. It was sort of interesting watching the changes as you made your character older or younger. Not a necessary aspect, but it was a nice touch. :)

Well on that thing about Fallout 3's preview and review, and what might be Fallout: New Vegas's, there's always the fact that we obviously don't know for sure what the game will be like until it's really out. So all the news, which has been all focused on the possible positive updates, might not be true or might be a little too emphasized. Isn't it usually, partially to excite the gamers/fans more anyways?

It's sort of like the movies, I don't usually pay to watch them until I hear the ACTUAL reviews, and not the hype. Even with this game, as excited as I am for it(and as long as it will be, probably, before the next Fallout game after this one, I won't buy it until I get some real reviews.....Probably, anyways.

I do love those titles for the SPECIAL skills though. Endurance 1 and Strength 10 have probably been my favorite so far.

Thing is, gaming press usually publishes hype as "reviews" and starts noticing the flaws of the previous game, that were often evident to fans even before playing, when it's time to hype a new installment.

That's true, but that's why the average member's review online and such can be useful. :)

I generally try to get the idea of a game's quality from several sources, to get a possibly better idea of the quality of a game.

But that's true, and it's largely opinionated usually.

Maybe I wasn't reading hard enough but has anything stated that you'll be able to name your customized weapons so as not to lose them in the pack you could potentially be carrying around for repair?

Well I hope they came up with something or there's going to be a lot of confusion and enraged complaining when people accidentally cannibalize the gun they spent time and money customizing.

Considering that's a bit of an mmo mechanic, I'd be surprised if they even thought of it. I do agree with you however, and if nothing else it would be nice to be able to put an item on a "do not sell" list.

It was in Oblivion, the game this entire engine and the editor were based on. It would be absolutely trivial to include if they're going to allow freeform customization, and stupid to leave out.

You probably never visited an enchanting altar. When you customized a weapon you got to name it.

Nah, I never got that deep into things like that in Oblivion. Mostly I goofed around in the wilderness, dungeon crawled a bit, jumped through a couple of demon portals, and explored every town I could find until I realized I couldn't find anything interesting to me in the game.

Now, having read the article, I noticed this:

if you added a larger magazine of ammo, you'll notice slower (but less frequent) reload times.

A statemt that really ups my hopes of an interesting combat and tactical decisions, as it implies the modifications don't just boost up your weapon but also add something to ponder about when including of them.

And then I read this:

The best part is, a modification a modification will only have positive effect on yout weapon - you'll never have to balance decisons as to whether one modification is better than another.

Which is a really disheartening statement and is contradicting (at least to some degree) the earlier part. How on earth is it the best part if there's no matter whatsoever what kind of [censored] you attach to your gun? I'd say the best part is that the system itself is there, but having no illeffects to the enhancements is most definitely the worst part of it.

But then again.... Which way is it? Are there consequences or are there not?

Hopefully there will be consequences, at least similar to taping a scope onto a hunting rifle in FO 2 and that reduced your close range chances to hit.

We're customizing weapons not cutting a baby in half. What's the worst possible thing that could come of increasing fire rate or magazine size?

The initial thought for increased rate of fire is decreased accuracy and possibly increased degredation of the weapon when used. For increased Magazine size, unless you have a couple of spare magazines of the same capacity it will take longer to reload.

So like a custom version of the Chinese Assault Rifle would have decreased item health. I like that idea, but we already had too many glass cannons in 3.
