6 page preview in PC gamer UK : Fallout: New Vegas

There is a map as well showing the areas which will be in the game. These include Area 51 and the Hoover Damn. I think there will be some reference to Mothership Zeta in Area 51, if not a whole new Alien quest.
It also says your stats get tested by a 'vigour machine', with a picture of it. The best way I can describe it is that it looks like the 'Love Tester'(or something like that), which is in the corner of Moes Tavern in the Simpsons.
There is also a picture of a child stood near a jukebox with a dog next to her. (Dogmeat?)

Do you think or did they actually say it will be related to Zeta? If so, that's bad news...

I was just talking about taking a photo of the cover so that we know it's real, not the stuff in the article. I don't think this is against any rules. What would be wrong with that? It's just the cover that will be public anyway.

the alien, area 51 stuff seems to be speculation...as they say is wans't in the demo they were shown, but nevada wouldn't be nevada without it

Honestly, if he was making this all up, I would think he would have written a detailed summary and wouldn't be posting new stuff with every post.

Need to drink water? I guess that's fine as long as its not over the top and the need decreases with a fitness level of some sorts.

Is the guy in the trailer an NCR ranger?

the NCR armour is similar to brown combat armour, but a new model..its the player wearing it in the shots..but htere a concept art shot of a ranger

I think the guy in the trailer is you...since he appeared to have a pipboy, but thats just my guess..there a concept art of him in the article...cant see his arms on it though so no idea if it actually is a pipboy

I'd say you're right, does the new model (Combat armour) have sleeves? <_< It matters to me.

yeah it has sleeves..at least the male model does...no pics of a female player

S.P.E.C.I.A.L is mentioned but not much is said..its in though, would,'t be fallout without it

the devs say bethesda really nailed the exploration and you need to be able to go anywhere and do anything...so hopefully that should allay some fears of it being linear

combat looks like it may be similar but with special move added for melee...

skils have a greater effect on conversation choices..it says someone with a high explosive skill for example may be able to have a coversation about explosives where appropriate

Fantastic, the lack of sleeves annoyed me before.
