loads of screens, look very similar to fallout 3 and uses a lot of the same art...but lots of new art too

features a new optional hardcoe mode that addresses many things that were modded in..

normal node is as per fallout 3

storyline involves NCR versus slavers versus new vegas residents

you're not a vault dweller, but you get given a pip boy by someone who is..and seemingly a vault suit since the shots show one

theres an M4 lookalike assault rifle

it mentions special moves for melee weapons in VATS specifically a move for a golf club called "fore" which seems to be a groin shot

the hoover dam is in and supplying electricity..hence the city in the trailer

it mentions a quest to rescue a ghoul from some supermutants who can then be a companion

So groin shot is back?

Wow I like how the "hardcoe Mode" isn't just a cheap Bullet Sponge add on.


I think this is a huge improvement for people who liked the sense of survival you had at low levels on Fallout before you advanced to higher status.

Can't wait to find myself low on water sun beating down giving up hope and then finding a dead water carrying raider.

Can you read the preview anywhere online?

That's nice that they give you the option to play "hardcoe" if you want to. I prefer the regular mode, so I'm glad they retain that, but I bet the new features will make a lot of people happy.

most shots are combat...against supermutants, geckos etc...some supermutants look like the fallout 3 models , others are new models , theres a female one with a 50s hairstyle who apparently is one of their leaders
a few pics of NPCs..a guy with a beard and straw hat, a ghoul an NCR ranger
new weapons are the golf club, the m4 lookalike and a big gun, which is shown blasting some mutants, is held like a minigun, with a backpack...but its not a minigun
the only pic of new vegas itself is concept art and not a screen
some location shots include a huge model dinosaur advertising a hotel, some satellite dishes, an array of solar panels
a character gen shot(i think) showing a "vigour machine" instead of the skill book...looks like some kind of thing you'd see in a fairground...50s style of course

Any mention of the Caesar's Legion perhaps? Or some other names of factions and places?

ceasars legion are the slavers..one of the 3 main factions...

NCR base is mccarran airport

a town called fremont

cesars legion are based at the strip

BTW, could you perhaps take a photo of the magazine so we know it's not fake like some other posts like this before? There have been some fake ones that got our hopes up already

There is a map as well showing the areas which will be in the game. These include Area 51 and the Hoover Damn. I think there will be some reference to Mothership Zeta in Area 51, if not a whole new Alien quest.
It also says your stats get tested by a 'vigour machine', with a picture of it. The best way I can describe it is that it looks like the 'Love Tester'(or something like that), which is in the corner of Moes Tavern in the Simpsons.
There is also a picture of a child stood near a jukebox with a dog next to her. (Dogmeat?)

Was hoping for this, not just the groin shot, but thats a welcome bonus haha. Should spice up melee vats a bit.
