PCPS3 Release Date Thread part 18

1.7 fixes Dawnguard and vampire issues and it is going to be on PSN and it is already on Steam
Explain me how the heck they prepare the patch for a upcoming DLC that is "not going to launch"
Because people are silly.

Indeed,
Spoiler
but i wonder if the much talked "vampire attacks in cities" are a bug or just a "random annoying thing",either way i don't like the idea of important NPC's being killed because of this....
Spoiler
The Vampire attacks are an intended feature and are supposed to stop after you complete the main quest. Me, I haven't had that many.

The patch notes say nothing about PS3 or PC dawnguard. Do PS3 also have kinect? All the add on fixes, which don't really fix anything say it is for Xbox. No mention of pc or ps3.

As they said in the post; 'Unless stated otherwise, the fixes are for all platforms'. The fixes that are just for Xbox have (Xbox 360) next to them. Why would they list Vampiric grip (A dawnguard feature) as fixed for all platforms if they weren't going to release it for all platforms? Come on man, some of these things you should be able to work out just by being alive.

Did you read the patch notes? I think being alive you should be able to read... 'Fixed logic error with loading screens from add-ons (Xbox 360)'

So like I said; 'unless otherwise stated (the one you mentioned is for Xbox 360 only because it has 'Xbox 360' next to it, Vampiric grip, does not) the fix is for all platforms'.

I take it English isn't your first language.

No problem.

Edit: Though I should warn you.
Spoiler
Some people have said that the attacks continued even after the completion of the main quest. So the feature may be bugged

If for some reason they didn't manage to fix it (and I think they will before PC/PS3 release), at least on PC you will see a dozen mods to fix the problem.

1.7 is now alive PC wise and in certification PS3 side... IMHO we should see Dawnguard in the next couple of weeks. (Depending if they wait for certification before release or not). My guess would be yes.

Just so you know, the language in this post has been watered down a lot.

I am extremely upset by Bethesda's extreme apathy for PS3 gamers. We make up the majority of console gamers and almost outnumber PC users, and yet Bethesda has screwed us over time and time again. Xbox gets all the effing exclusives, PC gets their fancy scmancy mods and PS3 gets bugs, excuses and possible epileptic triggers. Bethesda has lost many friends today, especially with the hush-hush nature and their complete disregard for our enjoyment. Shame...

My only worry at the moment is that they'll delay the PC release so that it'll come out at the same time as the PS3 release. Nothing against the PS3 fellas, I'm just hoping that we won't be punished for Sony's crappy process for accepting patches. Not to say that it would be a particularly huge deal, but I admit I'd be annoyed and it's not like platform equality hasn't gone out the window awhile ago.

Most likely means Dawnguard will remain XBox 360 exclusive. :(

Pete Hines has said that he'll have more info later in the week. I really doubt they've waited all this time just to say "Hey guys, Dawnguard for PC and PS3 is never coming out. We just waited a whole month to tell you this because we like stringing people along and wasting their time!". There is no need to plan an announcement that something doesn't exist.

Hey guys. I've been watching the CDR Database page that everyone thinks will be Dawnguard, and it has updated *twice* today. Once in lieu of the release of 1.7 official, and again to actually name the page in regards to TESV:Skyrim among other minor changes. They are seriously tinkering away at something today...

Edit: The page in question for those new: http://cdr.thebronasium.com/app/211720/show_version:1
